USA says they spread democracy all over the world. Guys and what for do we have UN? Why does Americans think they have right to start war only because they don't like someone’s Politics? To my mind it is problem of country and its people and no one more.

America is actually a Democratic Republic. Which means we are ruled by representatives who are elected. We are not a true Democracy or else every issue would be put to a vote for the citizens to decide instead of an elected official deciding. I don't know why America goes to war other than to protect its own interests. And I think that the UN "steps" on the sovereignty of other nations a lot. I'm not sure that the UN is a good idea. Particularly since most of the money and soldiers are from the USA and they have to obey what the UN wants and not what the USA wants.

Is America a democracy? That is a tricky question as there are so many countries on the continent called America.
If you by America mean USA it is a democracy by name, not what the Greek word really means.
It is representative form of government, but that is not democratic – just by name. A representative democracy has some weak points, as it doesn’t reflect the real will of the people –just will of those you have elected and it takes some time to remove those people if you have elected the wrong persons, who look more to their own interests than to the interest of its people.
Switzerland is closer to a democracy, much closer than USA.
How about San Marino, how close to a democracy is this country – anyone who knows?

Aristoteles once said:
If you are careless when you elect your politicians, the fools might rule you. Quod erat demonstrandum as you know by now.

The US is not a real democracy. Elections are bought and sold, and we currently are under the thumb of a fascist military regime that bought it's way into office. They think they should control the UN, rather than attempt to work with it, and well personally I feel that if we refuse to work with the UN then we should leave it. The US only starts these fake wars for economic purposes (compare what has been going on in the Sudan compared to pre-US invasion Iraq) and uses democracy to justify them, when anyone with a bit of common sense should know that "forced democracy" is an oxymoron. The problem is, the people of the US do not look at all the facts before they vote, and a large percentage of people don't vote at all, so our government has been over-run by corporate croonyism.

You're asking multiple questions here, with some assumptions on your part showing.

We are not, and never have been a democracy. We are a representative form of government, where an elected official speaks for his or her constituents. A real democracy would be where only the majority rules, and the rights of the minority would be ignored.

I don't know why the UN exists, it doesn't seem very effective.

Americans will stand up for any one whose rights are being trampled by others, but doesn't 'start wars over politics'.

No! America is a Republic, Therefore we are governed by rule of law and not by democracy.

A democracy is like two wolves and a sheep deciding on what to eat for dinner. That would be a horrible way to be governed becuase minorities and religions would be completely helpless.

So again, no we are not a true and real democracy.

Technically, America was never a democracy but rather a Republic (basically a controlled form of democracy, rather than allowing everyone a vote on every decision that comes along). However, I no longer consider it a republic either, partly for the reasons you said. Mostly because it has already started down the path of oppression with the illegal wiretapping (already admitted to, but insist its not against Americans--which I believe that to be a complete lie), secret prisons and prisoners who are held and never charged with anything (you know some of them are innocent but are never charged so they have no chance to ever prove it), and torture (Bush does enough dancing around the subject to prove for sure we now torture--and like I said there are some innocents who are getting tortured because of screwups in intelligence sometimes). It won't be long before Bush and his crew aren't even hiding anymore with it, they just do it and say they are protecting us. Stalin did the same thing for Russia.

America is run by money not by what people want.
All of our tax money goes to Military and gas subsidies 60% of tax dollars.
more then any other country. Do we like this? No. Do we have a choice? - No.
Can another party be born into politics? - No.
Have we spent more money on what people care about - pollution, schools, health, small and mid sized company subsidies, impeaching a government who is killing more americans then Bin Laden in one of his self-justified wars? No.
I think it is a dictatorship ran by money or capitalism.

Is it right that people in a country have no input who their leaders are? Spreading democracy is about the noblest thing America can claim to do!
