Marines deny losing Iraq's biggest province By Peter Graff

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The commander of the U.S. Marine force in Iraq on Tuesday denied his troops had lost control of the vast province they patrol, after newspapers reported his intelligence chief had written a bleak report. ( Note: The report states the Marines are losing control)

A division led by U.S. Marines has faced some of the highest casualty rates in Iraq patrolling the vast western desert of Anbar, Iraq's biggest province and a center of the Sunni insurgency.

The Washington Post reported that officials who have seen a study by the Marines' top intelligence officer in Iraq say he described the situation in the province as lost. Iraq's Shi'ite-led government holds no sway there and the strongest political movement is the Iraq branch of al Qaeda, it concluded.

The Post said it was the USA military is doing its best but it's two steps forward and one step back.

The military is not losing the war. The insurgents cannot defeat the US Army. What we lost was the peace and we lost it when that senile maniac and his enablers franks and myers let him send our troops to war undermanned and underequiped.

The list of deliberate screw ups committed by our civilan masters is too long to list. But keep in mind that former Chief of Staff of the Army Eric Shinseki said we would need several hundred thousand troops to adequately secure Iraq for his trouble he was publicly derided and humiliated by the deputy defense secretary.

The junta went to war on the cheap and our Army and the Iraqi people are going to pay the price for decades.

The automobile kills more Iraqis than the fighting. The U.S. military could save lives by destroying their cars. The U.S. military is using a stop gap measure and Iraqi forces will be patrolling all of Iraq by the beginning of next year. The Shiites will be less forgiving than the U.S. military.

Our Soldiers are not losing the War....the political bureaucrats and the unpopular views from our own media filter the news!! The Marines along with the rest of the Forces are limited by the Pentagons restrictions....if they had freedom to attack as they wish or required this region would be under American Rule!!!!!Botton-line the Wealthy Liberals who control the puppet strings are worried about their valuable assets overseas and dont want to disturb their relations with their partners!!

You can't believe everything the media says. And to say we can't win the war on terrorism is like saying we can't win the fight against Cancer or HIV or other diseases. Sure the future doesn't look bright in any of these area's and their will be casualties in all, but if we were to stop where would we be?

Because this isn't a simple war. The US is not going to get its way by simply bombing the crap out of everything anymore. I'll add to this answer later, but right now I'm gonna do some homework. Peace.

It was a no win situation to start with...no objective or goals....... no plan "b" after they didnt find WOMD........plain and simple...Now we are stuck......

Still no answer on what has to be accomplished for us to "win"....How can you win a game if you have no clear objective.... Its like playing poker but not knowing the rank of which hand is the highest and not knowing what the wild cards are so you dont know what you have to do to win....you just play..
