I'm assuming you are talking about being a single parent in the military?? If so, then no. You just have to assign a guardian to take care of your child in case of deployment etc...

No, single parents may NOT join the Active Duty military under any circumstances. You must not have custody of any children if you are unmarried. you may NOT give up custody for the sole purpose of enlisting, and if you do give it up, you may NOT get it back for the entire first term of the enlistment..as many as six years.

tell your recruiter NOW that you are pregnant and will be unable to ship.
