the judge said that I had to choices since I pleaded guilty if my parents cooperated, he could either suspend my license for 6 months or he would give my parents complete control of it for 6 months and I could go to school, games, etc? is there a legal term for this? and what is it? Can I drive wherever I want as long as I notify my parents and they are okay with it?

This happened to me yesterday. I'm at a 4-way stop (busy) intersection 2nd car in line facing east. Police first in line facing west. They come through intersection pull beside me, stare in my face. I move up, stop, take my turn (left) and see they are turning around. They end up maybe 3-4 cars behind me and I see their lights flashing as they pass the 3-4 cars behind me and get directly behind me. He drives behiind me for maybe a quarter mile and then pulls me over. Sits in his car for a couple of minutes, then approaches me, asks for my license, looks at it, looks at my windshield for current stickers (which I have) and then says "sorry to bother you, I'm looking for someone in a dark vehicle like this". I didn't say anything but I drive a very popular 4WD SUV and he's going to be pulling over a lot of people if that is all he's going on. Shouldn't he just run my plate for info? I was thoroughly shaken and embarrased - this happened two doors up from my home. Ugh.

When a cop fails to protect someone, when have they been sued successfully?

If a cop CANNOT be sued successfully for failing to protect civilians, why do somany think that we should rely on police for personal and immediate protection (after a phone call and 10 minute wait of corse).

There’s a lot of rumor going on about the skull & bones secret society at Yale university. It’s been said that members have to bring skulls of real people! Isn’t this something the cops must find out & stop? It’s also been said that members go through some rituals where they are brainwashed, & reveal their sexual secrets. Since it’s brainwashing, could it involve using illegal drugs? Shouldn’t the cops investigate & make sure nothing against the law go in those places?

I work at the airport and the road I take meets up with the main road. Today I got a speeding ticket for going 25 in a 15 (school zone) while taking the small road to the main road. I went back and from where I pull out the speed isn't even posted and there isn't any school signs or paint on the road that says "school zone". But on the opposite side, 50 feet from where he says he clocked me, it does say 15mph. Meaning I would have to be coming form the opposite way to know it's 15mph. Any way I can take it to court? Is there a way I can take care of this $200 fine or decrease it? The main question is can an officer give me a ticket for speeding when there is no sign posted "15mph". Thanks

I was in a yahoo group under a different yahoo account. Anyway, my home address was put on the site. The moderator told me not to bother yahoo as they wouldn't be interested. Now i want to make a compalint to yahoo as the BNP member has stepped up the harrassment. Also the moderator put ME on moderation, i found out 4 weeks later. I closed the yahoo account in disgust and told the moderator that i didn't think it was right. However the harrassment has stepped up since and the BNP member has now send a malicous message to someone else in the group who i know. Don't know if they want to complain. Since i told the moderator, what i thought of MY moderation, a person, who they are a friend of, doesn't reply to my messages. It 'appears' they have been talking. I would like to make a complaint to yahoo but don't know how to contact them as i can't find a link for things like this. i was given a link to the yahoo answers team but there wasn't a reply from them over this

My fiance is in quite a pickle. He got a warrant for his arrest yesterday for trespassing. Problem is, not only is it not his license on the warrant but he really didn't do it. I am with him 24/7, i'd know.

How would he go about fixing this? If he goes to the sheriffs dept, he'll get arrested on the spot. I've called tons of places today and he still has to post a 500 dollar bond. We don't have that kind of money. He also took my car to work today, if he gets pulled over, not only will he get arrested, but my car will get towed

I'm not working, so if he gets thrown in jail for something he didn't do and/or fired, i'm in a load of trouble.

Can anyone help me with this situation? possibly give me some advice or information.

We live in Houston, Texas (Harris County) if that helps any

On December 4, 2006, a pack of animals attacked Justine Barker, knocked him unconscious, and proceeded to stomp on his unconscious body in a clear attempt to kill him.

These animals were subsequently captured and, for some unknown reason, have turned over to the police, as opposed to animal control where they belong.

It is my understanding that when an animal attempts to kill, or even just harm a human, that animal is unceremoniously put down.

Why are these six animals receiving trials and not simply being put down like other animals???

Since, by receiving a trial, these animals are receiving far more then they deserve, where is the cause for controversy???

The only possible cause for controversy I can see stems from the question of why these animals are receiving trials in the first place and not simply being put down like any other animal that attacks a human.

I just got ticket last night for accidentaly driving in one way street. It happen bec when I wanted to make left turn, that road was closed (I think road construction/maintenance). So there's a misleading sign that made me think I should take the other lane (one way) and the position of my car was already making left turn so it's impossible for me to stop in the middle of intersection and back up. Next thing I know a police came to my car and told me: "you make right turn right now". I said thank you and kept driving. They follow me again n I stop. Anyway, they gave me a ticket. He said I can pay or go to court and told what happen. But the "Court Apperance Required" is checked. So doe it mean if I pay I stil have to go to court? I feel so bad bcoz this is the 1st time ever I got ticket. I always drive carefully. I need opinion. Will it be better to go to court? Or I should just accept it and pay? Pls tell me what to do. I appreciate it. Thank you.

I share a vacation home with family . We are all gun owners. Family members leave ammunition in the house in unlocked cabinets and on shelves when the the house is not occupied. I would like to know if there are laws pertaining to storing ammunition in a residence in Indiana, I am of the mind that it is a dangerous proposition to leave it in the house and/or left in a unlocked cabinet. This is a rural area and break-ins are not uncommon. I am fearful someone may take the ammunition and cause harm on our property or elsewhere. Am I right to be concerned? Are there any laws in Indiana that cover only the ammunition in a house if the firearms are removed? Family members are of the mind that without a gun the ammunition will not cause harm so it is ok to leave it in the house because the guns have been removed. I wonder just what might be the outcome if some kids break in and take the ammo home and try it out with Dad gun. Tks Z.

My Dad passed away 2 months ago. His girlfriend of 30 years made funeral home arrangements and used his pin to withdraw money from his bank to cover the costs. She had keys to his apt and cars and got rid of his clothes and personal items. She never lived with him and has not been apppointed administrator of his estate. No will has been located. I live overseas. My dad owed me $6000 when he passed away which is documented. He owned 2 cars, a utility trailer, and some construction equipment which GF intends to dispose of somehow. She has not been cooperative with me when I ask questions. I know I can hire a lawyer, but it will cost more than I will recover. Can the police stop her from proceeding, since she is not next of kin?

I'm writing a movie script where one of the characters steals confidential data from a telecom company which has national security implications. How long do you think it would be before they used a lie detector on the employees to determine who the thief was? Would it be the first day, on the first round of questioning? Follow-up questions? I want this to be realistic, but would prefer to have as few rounds of questioning as possible, to keep this part of the movie short. But I'll do anything just to make it look real. I'm assuming it will be a private security firm doing the investigation, though I might change it to the FBI.

Any personal experience on this would be helpful. Thanks.
