But then someone wrote to the police and said he was an unsuitable person. After that he didnt get the job because of this person.
If he can get the person to say they were bitching on him will he be able to wipe his slate clean or will he never get another chance as everything is on record. We live in the UK

* Who wrote the police? As this would be slander.

* Did the police give a detailed reason for rejection?
If not - request one. If this is due to the mail sent - request they prove this.

Problem is - if you make a case of this, it will be hard to get accepted, as then you might be branded as a troublemaker.

You might have him request another meeting with the recruiter and get details on the rejection. If nothing else, he can learn if he made a mistake somewhere, and possibly something he can change. If this explanation is refused - you might be able to file a complaint - but again, this will get you the title "troublemaker".

Not a nice spot for your son to be in.

Request for an investigation why your son was denied the application to the police force so that you can file the appropriate charges if irregularities were committed.
