When would he be elgible for parole....I am trying to avoid my daughter going to trial.... but I sure as hell want him to do his time....I have heard of inmates doing 50%of time and being parole...is this true in these kinds of cases?

I would expect this to vary from state to state, some have "truth in sentencing", where you serve the entire sentence.

I can tell you they will very likely not consider parole until he completes mandatory counselling.

You need to speak to the DA about this before the deal is offered in the courtroom. Rest assured, if he is parolled early, one of his conditions will be to have no contact with the victim.

Each state has different rules on parole eligibility. The DA should be able to explain what they are in your state.

Another thing to keep in mind, regardless of his sentence he will get credit for time served. This includes any time he was sitting in jail waiting for trial etc.
