On December 4, 2006, a pack of animals attacked Justine Barker, knocked him unconscious, and proceeded to stomp on his unconscious body in a clear attempt to kill him.

These animals were subsequently captured and, for some unknown reason, have turned over to the police, as opposed to animal control where they belong.

It is my understanding that when an animal attempts to kill, or even just harm a human, that animal is unceremoniously put down.

Why are these six animals receiving trials and not simply being put down like other animals???

Since, by receiving a trial, these animals are receiving far more then they deserve, where is the cause for controversy???

The only possible cause for controversy I can see stems from the question of why these animals are receiving trials in the first place and not simply being put down like any other animal that attacks a human.

All I have to say about this is, If the race factor would have been opposite (6 white guys against one black guy), with the same scenario on charges. Then all these people would be protesting against hate crimes instead of this so-called civil rights movement. Instead of allowing people to take responsibility for their actions, they will do anything to make minorities look like victims. Either scenario is hopeless for anyone other than minorities.

The Rabble Rousers,Jesse Jackson and the Reverend(joke) Al Sharpton have chosen to make this incident a Race Issue. These Thugs are innocent because they are Black.Sharpton and Jackson did nothing to stand up for the Civil Rights of the Victim at all.The lead thug was already on Probation and was remanded back to Jail(rightfully so)for Probation violation. The attempted Murder of the Victim was completed put aside, the Crime never happened because the Perpetraters are Black.Jackson and Sharpton are obstructing Justice to possibly create enought doubt in the Juries mind to get these little creeps off entirely or a lesser sentence. These little Creeps will get their just rewards,The entire student body stood around and watched the "fight".They are all witnesses subject to Testimony weather they want to or not.A couple hundred witnesses can't be wrong. The fact that they are Minors is the only thing keeping them from a possible 20 yr.stretch in Angola, which they rightfully deserve.Regardless of where they eventually get locked up,the prisoners will give them are real warm welcome in the showers the first night.Take comfort in that at least.

Because Sharpton and Jackson are racist pigs. They don't "represent" anyone except for their own personal agendas--and many black people know this (at least the ones I know). It doesn't matter though, the boys are going to keep showing their true colors (no pun intended) and keep getting in trouble anyway. It won't be too long before they end up in prison as one is already back in jail for violating parole.

Don't get me wrong, the original 3 white guys who hung the nooses should have been charged with hate crimes, and so should have the 6 black guys for purposely singling out a white guy who didn't take part in the noose incident. There are situations in which race should be pointed out--when someone is severely mistreated because of their color.

I don't think racism will never go away. Why? Because skin color is pointed out in every single thing that happens, both by the media and pigs like Sharpton. Turning every single incident into a race agenda is ridiculous.

I think you made a poor choice of words, as far as calling them animals. This is part of the reason that the race issues tend to draw bandwagon jumpers like Al and the Rev. They will definitely not want let people recognize the hate crime that took place. As for putting a noose in a tree, I would think these kids have way too much unsupervised free time. But for the 6 that did this there is nothing other than racism and hatred. I don't know why people think that it is different for 1 race than it is for the rest of us. And really I don't see anything that could be gained for any race. I hate to say it but I really think there will be further repercussions for this whole incident and for both races.

ease off there lad. take a steady strain.

it appears that the judicial processes are arriving at the correct results, if belatedly and under pressure.

Sure, Jesse and Al made a big noise. That's about all they're good for -- noise.

There is a large legal distinction between generalized threatening [noose in the tree is legally protected free political speech], specific threats ["there's one now -- Git him" ... which would be inciting to riot or assault and a crime], and felonious assault and battery (six men stomping one).

Since they did stop stomping after the victim was down and out, attempted murder is probably out.

While your comparison to vicious animals may be poetic, it fringes on inciting to riot, imho. You have specific targets whom you suggest treating like animals even though they obviously are not. Specific targets = inciting the way I learned it.

cool off.

First of all you need to pull your white power racist head out of your ***! Black people arent animals they have every right to defend themselves as you do! And if someone had hung a box of Crackers in a tree i was sitting under then called me racial slurs I would beat the **** out of them too! Second if you actually knew anything about the jena 6 case you would know that the "6" black boys who beat up Justin barker actually were only TWO boys the stupid **** named all six who sat under the tree. Four of them werent even there! he was pissed that he got his *** handed to him and just threw out names bc he is RACIST! did you know that after he got out of the hospital after he was "nearly beatin to death" he went to a party his freinds were throwing. Now im not a Dr. but I would think that if you were beat to a pulp and claimed they tried to kill you, you wouldnt be able to party? Then the DA came to their school put all the black student on one side of a room and the white on the other and said to the black kids " I WILL ERASE ALL OF YOU!" but im sure you biggit *** is right there rooting him on arent you! If six white kids ageing from 15 to 17 KILLED a black kid they would be tried as juviniles not adults it is unfair that because these kids are black and were defending themselves that they deserve this kind of reaction! yes they should be punished but not with being in jail for murder or in your words "put down like the animals they are" Your retarded!!!

And why do we live in a country where racism is a everyday living experience???
This brings me back to a question a couple of weeks ago asking if you are racist...I guess it depends on what the controversy actually is, and what the color of you skin is.
What a shame...we need to all just get over it!!!
