I need a copy of a police report from an auto accident I had six months ago. CHP made the report....so do I contact them, or the local Police or Sheriff.

Uh, just a guess, but maybe the CHP? Or how about the FBI? KGB?

If the CHP made the report, they're the ones who have it.

THEN CHPS COULD TELL YOU ABOUT IT. MUST BE IN THE DISTRICT OF JURISDICTION (COUNTY) WHERE ACCIDENT TOOK PLACE SINCE CHP PATROLS A VAST AREA.

Normally, they can be secured from the one who made the report.
