Law Enforcement & Police - August 2007

I live in MN and I recieved a Red Light Photo ticket in the mail from TX, on a vehicle that I had sold over a year ago. How can I get this ticket removed if I don't know the current owner of the vehicle? Can the TX DA's office remove it because the police department there has been no help?

to be a swat you guys told me i need to be a police officer, like a patrol officer, but i dont want to be a police officer, can i be a k9 unit, istead of police, then be a swat, k9 is the officers with the dogs, and when you switch from k9 unit, and become a swat, what will happen, with you keep the dog, what if , when you quit the job, or your too old, and when your not working, will we keep the dog, when we quit the job as k9 unit, will you keep the dog for you? or youll give it back,? please answer that, and istead of being a police officer, so taht i can become swat, can i be a k9 unit with the dogs, and everything, then be a swat? please answer all, all my questions, no skip please, i am 13 years old, some people say, your too young to worry about careers, and jobs, yes but, i really want to be a swat, i got swat movies, games, swat is awsome, answer all my questions everybody please, i really need to know all. specially about k9 stuff please. again (no skiping guys)

I live in what I think of as a civil society -

I like to think it is reasonably safe etc -


But in this "civil" society there is a knowledge that if the police disapeared for any reason society on the whole would break down -

Anarchy the law of the jungle would be a matter of time -

If days passed or weeks or even if it took a whole month - it would change for the worse and disintergrate into somthing primal -


What does that really say about us humans in the most civilized portions of the western world ?


At one point we did not need police - but that was way back when - we were a tribal society of hunter gather's and small farming villiages - Even then crime happened - but it was a self policed society


I am curious what the absolute necesity of the police says not only about us but about our society as a whole

I just got an e-mail from someone claiming to be from Nigeria saying something like one of my ansestors and his immediate family were all killed in a car crash and that he had $9,000,000 put away somewhere and he is trying to locate the money so he can disburse it to our family but he needs my help funding the search for this lost money...blah, blah, blah. I would like to forward this e-mail to the proper authorities so that they can go after these criminals who are trying to defraud people out of U.S. dollars that desperatly need to be pumped back into our own economy. I think enough of our money is alredy going overseas!

He has jail meals down to 40 cents a serving and charges the inmates for them. He stopped smoking and porno magazines in the jails, took away their weights, cut off all but "G" movies. He started chain gangs so the inmates could do free work on county and city projects. Then he started chain gangs for women so he wouldn't get sued for discrimination.

He took away cable TV until he found out there was a Federal Court Order that required cable TV for Jails. But only let in the Disney Channel and the Weather when asked why he replied,
so they know how hot it will be on the chain gangs.

He cut off coffee since it has zero nutritional value. The inmates complained he told them "This Isn't the Ritz Carlton, if you don't like it, don't come back."

A cop pulled me over a couple nights ago for going "roughly 80". The cop took a really negative tone with me because he thought I had a radar detector that I hid when he pulled me over, which I did not. Him and his partner kept making an allusion to me having on and when I insisted I didn’t the officer just got more irritated. I asked the officer if he had even caught me on radar and he told me he did not. When I received the ticket he wrote 80+ on how fast I was going. My question being police can just "guesstimate" your speed? And if I do fight the ticket in court what is my rights on the officer not officially ever getting my speed down?

The DMV can't post the infraction to your MVR until your "account" with them is balanced? If this is true, does it apply in all 50 states?

My roommate Get taped shoplifting from her job 20 days a go. when the security asked her did she take anything she said NO. but the tape say something Else. the security called the police and they make a report. they let her go but she lost her job. and cant shop from that store anymore. she tough that is over. yesterday I reserved a phone call from the officer asking me to let her now that her need to turn her self in to the police station. Judging by the questions on this site it is not. I am not anti Police and know many Officers who are appalled at the corruption and bullying of young Officers, especially Graduates. If they "whistleblow" then they are branded and promotion is a non starter. Some Officers seem to hide behind their uniform to bully and intimidate members of the public. How much longer is this going to be allowed to continue?. I reiterate I AM NOT anti Police, but I am anti corruption and sleaze.

mt boyfriend which lived with me for 4 yrs which i havent had any problems with - a sheriff came to my house on a sat and picked him up for unpaid parking tickets which i knew nothing about - this is in Pa. - then after they took him to see the judge they said that he has 2 other warrants - im shocked - one for posession that is from the year 2000 - and one for unemployment that wasnt repaid from 2003 - These things ar before i met him- what will happen to him and what can i do to help him . during the time hes been with me he has been working and being responsible .

a gang of ppl tried to assualt another group of ppl i will call group 1 and group 2, group 2 they were near their home and group 1 were armed with bats hammers etc group 1 tried to assault group 2 but a person from group one got severely hurt and group 2 are getting charged with attemted murder? how can this be when group 2 come to assault them but instead of group 2 being hurt one of the members of group one who come to assault have been hurt, and police charged group 2 party with attempted murder?

tell me where im wrong. someone goes undercover as a teen. a man talks to them and tells the undercover that he wants to _____ her vagina. the guy goes to the house and then he talks to the host. the host asks him whats he doing there and puts the nasty **** on the spot. the guy leaves and he geta arrested and charged with trying to **** a minor. ok good. but when did he talk the 12 year old the person he talked to was like 20+ so basically he never talk to a 12 year old right? so then why is he getting in trouble? dont get me wrong i think laws dont punish sick ***** like that hard enough if it was up to me i would have them kill. but are laws are so strict and straight forward and if a search warrant goes down and the cops dont get eviddence legally it cant be used in court not even if its the murder weapon and everyone knows. so yeah i still dont get why they get charged?

im always getting ****** with by cops and deans cuz of who i hang with. my name went on a list of gangmembers and if that gang did something bad in schoo everyone who was on the list from that gang would be kicked out of school . also the deans told us if they saw more than 3 of us (gangsters) together that he would kick us all out of school for gang activity

Just about every school I drive by, they have a sign that states No Trespassing, why would they be so against it? The only exception around where I live is this Catholic School I went to for Grade School.

Is there a liability issue or do the schools who have the signs have past troubles with vandals damaging their property at night? I just don't understand why its such an issue for some but not others like the Catholic grade school which has no signs about it.
