What will happen to places like the Persian tea rooms and sheesha bars where the main attraction is smoking the flavoured tobacco in the hookahs? Will they have to close or will they be able to get around it on the basis that it is a part of their culture?

My fiance was just charged with DUI he had 4 beers in like a 2hour period. He was driving our veh across the street to the convenience store and ran out of gas. He was out of the vehicle and was walking across the street when the police officer pulled up behind the vehicle. He was called over and then arrested for DUI. Do you think that constitutes a DUI?

A retired member of the filth calling himself 'Essex Ron' has been e-mailing me directly following my comments on this question. He is becoming an internet pest.
He is thick stupid and a bully.(No surprise there!)
What does one do? Does anyone know who he is? Not what he is, that is obvious.
He has not got the guts to reply publicly on Yahoo Answers, which tells me everything.

This is another example of why people hate the police. They never do things openly but threaten people in secret. They really are Filth!

I saw this lil news clip about an organization video taping Cops and trying to catch them abusing their authority on people. I thought it was interesting. Do you think This is a good thing? I think it is however I find a few things not right with the situation. I think it is good because we can make sure our cops are actually doing their job the right way. In the video 2 cops hold down one gang member and they are beating on him. The guy on the ground clearly can't fight back. They was sockin him in the face to try and make him get hand cuffed. I don't think that was needed. There are other ways to hand cuff him HOWEVER the dude might have had it commin to him to get ruffed up. I think it was a bit much cuz they seemed to be putting more effort in rearranging his grill than putting the cuff on. What is your take on it?

I recently asked a question about someone possibly stalking me, or at the very least casing out my home. Anyway, I mentioned I had mace, and someone wrote in and said the effectiveness varies among individuals, that some aren't even phased by it hardly at all....is that true with all mace or just if it gets old? I heard if it gets old it's not as effective so I wasn't sure if thats what the person meant, or if some people are just "immune" to the stuff? Thanks!

I am currently a 911 dispatcher but have a strong interest in criminal minds and how they work. I have an inquizative mind and love to solve problems. I am currently working on a 4 year Criminal Justice Admin degree from the University of Phoenix, but I am thinking about changing it to a Biology degree. Is there another type of degree that I am overlooking? Does anyone offer a 4 year crime scene analysis degree? Does it even exist? Thanks for the help.

LONDON - Authorities say police have shattered a global Internet pedophile ring, rescuing 31 children and rounding up more than 700 suspects in dozens of countries - including Canada.
The British-based Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre says some 200 suspects are based in the United Kingdom. The centre says the ring was traced to an Internet chat room called "Kids the Light of Our Lives" that featured images of children being subjected to horrific sexual abuse.
The investigation involved agencies from 35 countries and has gone on for 10 months.
Among agencies that helped in the investigation was the Toronto Police Service, which conducted online surveillance along with British police, the centre said.
Toronto police say they've arrested 10 people since March 2006, bringing the total number of Canadian arrests to 24 since late 2005, and seven Canadian children were rescued.

My best friend is residing in Texas and will be until her probation is completed 3 years from now. She has an F2 felony and has done nothing to ever get in trouble or violate it in any way on purpose. Never has she skipped out on checking in, never has she dropped a dirty urine, never has she gotting in any type or trouble or even corresponds with anyone that is on probation. She does her community service every free chance she gets and is down to 9 days left. But the other day coming home from work, she got a speeding ticket. I was wondering how likely it is that they could revoke her probation and sentance her the full sentance in prison? Now don't bother to respond if you have a smart *** answer like i read on one response to someone else about thanks for wasting my tax money. That was extremely childish. But to those of you who take the time to answer the actual question many thanks in advance.

my car got towed today when i parked @ a mcdonalds customer only lot.

i went to the lot, they asked for my drivers license + $260 in cash. i gave it to them. im pretty paranoid tho since the towing lot/building was REALLY ghetto. the main "building" where i gave them the cash was this broken down trailer. when a car gets towed isnt it supposed to be towed by a legit gov. agency rather than some random company that doesnt even have a name? im worried. they know where i live. should i be worried?

Should a former military police officer call themselves a cop?
My boss is a civilian cop and i am a former usaf security forces member. We had a debate on whether or not I should call myself a former cop. I feel that I am a former cop seeing as I did what civilian cops do just on a federal government installation.

I was put on formal probation for buying stolen goods. Some of the rules are that I have to stay in school and not ditch, also to complete drug classes and also do 30 hours of community service. I have ditched many classes already, I haven't gone to a single class at CADA and I haven't done any community service. Do I have a warrant or what's going to happen to me? (Im on probation for 13 months, and this is month 3)

...the fine for being caught with pot is only $25 for a first offensive while the fine for being caught smoking a cigarette underage is $125 for a first offensive? It just doesn't make sense.
This fine is for my city; I don't know about any other city.

My source is a friend. He may not be correct, but I do trust him.

In order to buy a firearm legally in California you must first successfully complete a firearms safety course, go through an extensive background check, find a licensed firearm dealer and wait out what I believe is a two week waiting period for handguns. But anybody over the age of 18 can walk into just about any major sporting goods chains store a purchase ammunition on the spot. It seems to me that if firearms have serial numbers, then bullets and casings should have some identifying markings as well. Imagine if bullets and shell casings had some some identifying serial numbers laser etched into them. To be able to tie a bullet, to at lot number, to a piont of sale, to a bar code, to a drive's license and maybe to a murder. Something etched on the inside of thr casing and the "tail" end of the bullet itself. True crimminals obtain firearms illegally as a matter of course, but dare I say very few of them load their own amunition. Bullets that could be trace back to the purchaser.
