A retired member of the filth calling himself 'Essex Ron' has been e-mailing me directly following my comments on this question. He is becoming an internet pest.
He is thick stupid and a bully.(No surprise there!)
What does one do? Does anyone know who he is? Not what he is, that is obvious.
He has not got the guts to reply publicly on Yahoo Answers, which tells me everything.

This is another example of why people hate the police. They never do things openly but threaten people in secret. They really are Filth!

Guess what, I am proud to say that I've just got a violation notice on this subject.

I am going to become a thorn in the side of these people. How about a web site that collects stories of English police being bad?

Note for foreigners. The police in my country are, for better or worse, known as the 'filth'. Just read any of Ian Rankin's excellent 'Rebus' novels

Its a gesture against authority, usually by people who would be the first to call the police and expect their help.

Your comments about "Essex Ron" seem to nicely illustrate the fact that they are unable to understand the basic need in society for a force for good and to protect those who are unable to protect themselves.

If the population realised that they and the police are on the same side against those who attack & rape old people, take pleasure in molesting children, getting drunk and killing people on the roads, stealing peoples hard earned possesions and all the other activities that criminals carry out to the detriment of us all and the public acted as the eyes and ears of the police society would be fairer, safer and less threatening.

Im all for a SHOP A VILLAIN campaign and lets get this filth banged up!

perhaps resentment for buying caught. perhaps the version in how regulation is utilized. have you ever considered a cop get a site visitors value tag? the only rates that are delivered are on the sever/embarrassing to the city crimes. as long as you have an unfairness some will resent it. i've got heard distinctive police and supporters use the argument that if someone has not something to cover why do they situation. yet maximum police unions combat the desirable for the prevalent public to have get admission to to misconduct comments on them. Does that mean somethings being hid? I do experience that maximum persons caught have executed something incorrect. there's a prefer for police. yet i don't think there is complete disclosure of misconduct and that i don't see that the regulation is utilized flippantly. the squaddies interior the Iraq detention center scandal have been correction officers interior the states. Did their misconduct initiate in Iraq?

Oops...I re-read your post & got mixed up with your title vrs your "question". I thought you were a cop lol. Sorry for the mix up.....

Well I for one highly respect the police, I think you all got a tough job. And I think "most' officers do a great job at keeping a cool head in situations. I think alot of it is the media usually making a big story out of situations in which an officer did over react or intentionally cause harm. I think like any in profession there are good & bad people. And while I have been treated what I felt was "unjustly" by a few of the officers here (I had a female cop & her partner start threatening me after I invited them into my home...turned out they had the wrong house) but still......like you said PD is the first one someone's gonna call when their in a jam.

Hats off to all the men & women out there who serve as officers :)

People don't like cops because some cops, just like all lines of work, are unfriendly jerks. A few bad seeds will spoil the good name of everyone. You also see a lot of publicity being given to cops and departments who make mistakes, such as the Rodney King beating.... that was only a few officers messing up but it gave the whole department and career a bad name.

I dont hate the police, i tend to dislike them though.. as i think most of them its one rule for us and a totally different one for them.

My bf recently got arrested for d&d, and swearing at the police. Whilst all this was happening the coppers were swearing like mad and calling him a f*cking fool. Which i thought was stupid as they were telling him not to swear! What gives them the right to swear and no one else?

They also took all his clothes off him and were pretty violent with him when they got back to the station.

****SHAKES HER HEAD AT THE WAY YOU TURN A PERFECTLY INNOCENT QUESTION INTO A WAY TO INSULT ALL COPS****I started this question off to help better and understand the public's point of view, i think its disgusting and so disrespectful that you refer to all cops as filth/stupid and bullies, i think you need to learn how to speak to police officers they are human just like you they deal with crimes you could never even imagine,so one person is being a knob block him report him via the yahoo abuse site get his ip address or just ignore him if u don't respond he will get bored of emailing you, next time you reach for the phone to dial 999/911 remember what you called them, when your life or property's in danger you don't think twice in calling yet you belittle them calling them FILTH they and the other emergency services do the most stressful job there's high suicide rate with the police so any that even attempt this job i applaud you!!
here is my favourate poem i found on web that says it all.

What I have noticed over the previous weeks is that you answer many questions about Law Enforcement and Police. I say that in the loosest sense possible because all you do is use it as an excuse to slate the police. Generally you have nothing constructive to say.

Thankfully I have also noticed that the vast majority of your answers attract a large number of thumbs down. I wonder why that is?

What exactly is your beef with the police? Can you answer this?

Also you may notice (if you are bright enough) that the vast majority of the public have no major issues with the police.

You are in a minority Ian.... again I wonder why that is!!!!!
