Look under the "Environmental Protection and Control" section of your municipal code. In Chicago, the fine ranges from $50 to $500 and that does not include the fact the vehicle is subject to impound at a cost of $750 plus storage and fees. The stated range for a loud music violation from vehicles is greater than 75 feet.

it is seen a nuisance and traumatic the peace. Fines in simple terms isn't sufficiently massive. I don;t ideas track coming from a automobile yet whilst it is so loud or has lots bass coming from it that it disturbs others then i might like the criminal to be fined for it. there is this jacka ss that comes dwelling house each nighttime between 1am-3am with bass pounding. Drives me loopy.

First off. In a residential area, it is pretty much up to the police, if you are a nuisance. Reasonable levels. Police are given wide discretion for judging noise pollution in residential areas.
Second, I hope they write yo umore tickets. For the most part, nobody wants to hear your crappy @ss music. It is beyond annoying. If you need the music that loud. Go see a doctor.

Put the shoe on the other foot. Would like to hear opera blared in your ear all day long? That loud music, as you call it, is nothing but loud noise, which is a torture technique.

There shouldn't be any laws regulating loud music. Afterall when you play your music so loud that others can hear it when they don't want to it makes you seem more smart and classy. And who doesn't want to be smart and classy?

There shouldn't be a fine, just a thermite grenade in your window.

Good Job Bbasingal!

As for the question....be glad you're not in my jurisdiction....we arrest those who play their obnoxious music so loudly that you can feel the vibrations in another car!

I've been sitting in my own home and had these people drive past blaring so loudly that it just reminds me of how rude and inconsiderate people can be of others.

It's called "Disorderly Conduct" in my jurisdiction...if you ever visit Alabama!
