I'm talking about the cops in rich white areas where nothing bad ever happens and they don't have anything better to do than make a mountain out of a mole hill and try to act entirely macho. Cops who actually fight crime have my respect and admiration and thanks.

We are never going to live in a soceity where it is OK to carry loaded firearms around with you! This nonsense about "if the other students were armed they could of blah blah blah..." what a load of BS!!

Get rid of these damn weapons, ban the handguns, and the damn automatic rifles! Get rid of them, we need safe schools more than we need your inflated sense of worth.

I'm an avid shooter and ex-military. Lets say you manage to ban automatic and semi-automatic guns. I could take my grandfather's old pump shotgun, saw off the barrel, load it with buckshot and kill 10 times as many people with half as many shots as the VT shooter. How will a limited ban possibly help?

Typically, shooters tend to be loners, who are either very depressed, have been bullied, or have some sort of trouble. Should more consolers be made available specifically for such students?

Also, should we post armed security guards in schools (more as needed) to protect areas where students gather in large numbers?

I found a search warrant in a bag of donated clothes. Could I be in trouble for having it? Or if I showed it to other people? It was issued about a year ago for a currently unsolved murder case.

Six years ago when I was 18, I was arrested for soliciting a prostitute who turned out to be a cop. I was ordered to serve three days of community service but served only one. Now I need to bring documentation about the disposition of the case to INS to qualify for a green card. If I go to the police station (in the next state) , can I expect to be held in incarceration for failure to fully comply? What else can I do?

of course not. it's not the weapon that causes the harm, it's the person behind the weapon.

A lot of ppl have said dat the police won't do anything to help and they'll just ignore it. It's so frustrating to find egg shells and its contents on our cars and front door every morning!! We live in a neighborhood full of Mexicans and I'm trying not to lean it towards racism... *sigh*

Example: you have 20 years of working. You spend 4 years in the Marine Corps and become a Sgt. You want to get out of the Marines and join a police force, and spend the 16 remaining years working as a cop and adding to your rank. Basically, moving from the Marines to being a cop, but not losing rank and having to start at the bottom.

So here's the story. My boyfriend got arrested for selling steriods yesterday. He is being charged with drug trafficing, possession and intent to sale. He already has two felonies. He is going to hire a lawyer and hopefully plead it down, considering he never talked to the undercovers about selling the stuff, the other guy did. Well anyway he was driving my car, (both of our names are on the title though) and they took it. Well whenever he got out of jail they refused to tell him where the car was. A couple of phone calls later we figured out that the car is seized instead of just impounded. They said that they'll hold the car for a few days then send whoever is on the title something in the mail, and they would have to file a petition and go to court to try to get the car back.

So what are the chances of me actually getting my car back? And what things could I do to help myself out more, i.e. hire a lawyer?

Last night I was driving on the highway (left lane) going at least 20mph over the speed limit when I saw a cop in the middle lane. So naturally I got out of the left lane and into the center lane. I was at least 2 car lengths behind the cop. We were both going the same speed, 60mph in a 50mph zone. He then switches into the right lane and I maintain 60mph. He gets behind me, flashes his lights and then said I was tailgaiting him, but he wasn't going to write me a ticket for that. Instead, he wrote me up for speeding 10mph over the speed limit. If he was going the same speed should I appeal it

I am former military and a police officer now, and I am wondering how this individual caused so much damage with a 15 shot 9mm and a 22 cal. pistol. My first inclination was that he had an automatic weapon. i dont mean to sound like a moron, but.. small caliber rounds and that many kills.. I have not heard any details on this, and most importantly dont want to offend anyone. The crime was horrible.

The reason i ask is because both buildings 32 and 42 set at between 32 and 33 degrees from building 192. 132 is an almost direct line shot as the crow flys from building 192. Look at the map on Virginia Tech's website. I think i would search building 192 as well.
