Typically, shooters tend to be loners, who are either very depressed, have been bullied, or have some sort of trouble. Should more consolers be made available specifically for such students?
Also, should we post armed security guards in schools (more as needed) to protect areas where students gather in large numbers?

As someone who works at a University in a dorm, I can tell you that the majority of students are over 18 and cannot be forced to do anything regarding physical or mental health. All colleges have counseling centers which are free to students.
It would be nearly impossible to fund security guards. Most campuses have a large number of buildings and students will appropriate their spaces as they see fit, it is impossible to guard all the students all of the time.

Regardless of whether he was being serious or not, it needed to be taken serious. He needs to be locked up!! I think it has gone to everyones head though...There have been bomb threats in 13 states since the VT shooting. People are sick! There are people out there just like Cho. and the sad thing is, its people on this earth that treat them bad and drive them to this. I dont think that is a way to solve anything but thaty thinks so. America is the cause of this. We treat some people bad(not me specifically and maybe not who ever is reading this) but we dont think about what that does to those people! We need to wake up and learn that we could be the next person someone shoots because we were mean to them... Thats not right, but they didn't deserve to feel the way they felt either. I dont agree with what Cho did and I am not making up excuses for him. However, if you want to prevent this from happenedint to you, then think about how you treat people and if you treat them bad then change that. You never know whos life you might save...maybe your own! That is how I am looking at things now. I want to be here as long as i can! However, at the rate this earth is going. I have no idea. I just pray for all the individual that were hurt by this and I prayer for the ones that are doing the bomb threats and saying such things like the 14yo did. May God Bless You!

The VT shooting I think it was about 2600 acres of campus iwth 100's of buildings, there is no way to competely secure a place that big. VT has a large camplus police force and security guards. Very highely trained and equiped but there is not much anyone can do with one crazed killer decides to kill people

Does anyone realize the University is larger than some small towns? A full battalion of military could not guarantee crimes never happened.

Isn't it bad enough that elementary and high schools have appointed themselves surrogate parents for our kids? Do we now need the universities to babysit our adults, too?

Most are brainwashed into false belief God is the enemy of the world. That is what happened at Virginia Tech and we as Americans allowed it. It just goes to show you what the enemies against religion can do to people.
