If I had been the one who pulled him over he'd be serving about 2-3 minutes of "stick time".

That's how we roll in Reno.

this really depends on the state. What usually happens is they determine that probation is not working, (they call non compliance). Then they give the defendant what ever time they have reaming on probation as jail time.

Sorry that sucks, you can always try playing the "I can't help myself I am an addict, and see if they give him another shot at rehab

More than likely the Judge will give him the jail time because he violated his probation and if he didn't finish the drug coarses, I think he will do a little time.

Probation continually includes 0 drugs. Probation continually includes 0 drugs. Probation continually includes 0 drugs. They continually attempt. they might attempt at any time, no longer purely throughout the time of frequently-scheduled visits to probation officer. They like to aim on random dates, or attempt two times in a quick era to trap human beings. he gets busted for doing drugs throughout the time of probation... meaning he will might desire to serve his finished sentence plus additionally face drug costs AND violation of probation. as an instance: - you get a 5-12 months suspended sentence, with 5 years probation - after 4.5 years you attempt useful for drugs throughout the time of a random verify - you are going to detention center for 5 years (no longer 6 months like maximum human beings think of) - you're additionally going to stand added costs, in all risk extra detention center time Probation "now and lower back" includes 0 alcohol - reckoning on the crime. My suggestion to him of course may well be to no longer do any further drugs - a minimum of no longer until eventually properly after probation ends. My suggestion to you would be to offload this loser. you are able to not exchange someone's straight forward character: feels like this guy is refusing to check from his blunders, he would be out and in of subject for something of his existence.

He is probably looking at some jail time, he may get a lighter sentence if he shows a genuine willingness to do rehab. For your sake I hope he does attend rehab, otherwise please rethink your relationship with him, it will a downhill road.
