A lot of ppl have said dat the police won't do anything to help and they'll just ignore it. It's so frustrating to find egg shells and its contents on our cars and front door every morning!! We live in a neighborhood full of Mexicans and I'm trying not to lean it towards racism... *sigh*

Most police forces seem to do very little when it comes to things like this. Learn to live with it or move to a remote area, that's what I'm planning on doing.

Can you try and watch for the people who do this and when they come around? Please write down what you see and then when you have seen someone call the police. They can only help if there is someone to go after. I know this is difficult but I have a problem with drug dealers and I was told to watch for car tag numbers and times so that the police can follow up. No matter who these awful people are you have a right to live in a safe and unharrassed neighborhood. Besides, this sounds like young people who are disturbing your peace and sanity and they are easier to find.

Yes. File a report and just ask for some extra patrols in your neighbourhood due to all the mischief going on. That will maybe decrease the amount of egging going on as the police cars will scare away the subject of complaint.

Try to install a camera in which you can record who did it. In that way you'll be having a strong case against the person who did it. After all transgressing one's property for no justifiable reason is still a crime. In the event that you already gather evidence, bring this to the police for their reference and if they will still ignore you, you may charge them administrively for dereliction of their duty. After all their salary came from the taxes we paid.

Yes, please report this to the police department immediately! If you report this to the police, they will send extra patrols to watch your neighborhood and hopefully catch the perpetrators. Also, it is important to have this documented in the event you wish to press charges against the perpetrators.

Good luck!

Absolutely. A report can set up a crime pattern. Unless you tell someone, nobody knows whats going on.
