Six years ago when I was 18, I was arrested for soliciting a prostitute who turned out to be a cop. I was ordered to serve three days of community service but served only one. Now I need to bring documentation about the disposition of the case to INS to qualify for a green card. If I go to the police station (in the next state) , can I expect to be held in incarceration for failure to fully comply? What else can I do?

There is a very good chance that you will be held for court. You have exhibited the disregard for the laws of this country, as do other illegal aliens. You are now 24 years old, and have enjoyed the benefits of this country, after committing an illegal act.

It will probably effect the your job process more then you think. I'm sure the employer will see it and ask you about it, and you will explain you didn't do community service when you were given the chance to. This may be interpreted as you didn't take responsibility and own up to what you did thus not making you a good candidate for a job. A clean record is still better than a dirty one, regardless of the offense.

If you don't do it you could get arrested for failing to comply with your sentence. If I was you I would speak to a lawyer ASAP and find out you options, you don't want your secret to be leaked out to people that may not know about it (friends, girlfriends, etc)

If you don't get it looked after you can receive a jail term.

Just my 2 cents.

You should have asked that question 6 years ago. You better check with the court that issued that order. You are in violation. No green card.

Your gonna be sent to Guantanamo bay and labeled as terrorist!

There will be no trial! You will be secertly shot in the back of the head one day in an incident that willl be made to look like it was an escape attempt.

Ummm I would suggest you get a lawyer.
