If police were investigating a predominantly African-American street gang for involvement in drug sales, would this be considered racial profiling or would it be considered profiling?

Just saw some national coverage today in my local paper: a high school boy in Indiana was ticketed and mandated a court appearance for doing 93 in a 45.

The reason for speeding given by the boy? He was on a court order that he had to ride the school bus to school due to a previous speeding ticket, and he was rushing back to his house to catch the bus after purchasing an energy drink at a gas station before school.

Obviously, he has driving issues. Obviously, the parents won't impose consequences such as maybe taking this idiot's car from him.

How flagrantly does one have to break the speed limit before being arrested?

Why are they allowed to have their face coverd going through a uk airport?
This is wrong if it was one ov us trying to get through with something covering our face we would be asked to remove it
So why aren,t they.
Look a few months back a wanted muslim man escaped this country dressed as a woman with a veil over his face using a female relatives passport..
They should be made to remove the veil at the front desk to prove who they are.
Dont u agree.
No stupid answers please.

OK so last week I was in stop and go traffic and I was at a stop and this guy in his jacked up truck is obviously an idiot and runs straight into the back of me. Well his front bumper makes contact with my rear spoiler on my mustang and knows it off on the right side. Call the police and wait for them to get out there. He looks at the spoiler and says "state law we don't report such minor things, just make sure you both swap info". Well yesterday I took the car to the shop to get a price quote for damage and it came out to just over $600. My question is at what price does the damage no longer become "minimal" and the cops will write the idiot a ticket for running into me. Because I for one thought it was a ticket anytime you run into the back of someone

I was driving home last night and the expressway (suburbs of Chicago) was absolutely jam packed. There was a high speed chase that involved one civilian car and close to 15 police cars, first on the northbound side, then it changed to the southbound side. They passed me at neck-braking speeds and about a mile later, I saw the car had spun out of control, flipped over and hit a tree... There were cop cars everywhere.
Don't you think it's irresponsible for police to be engaging in a high speed chase when the streets or a highway as the case may be, are absolutely blocked with traffic. Everybody was in danger of being struck by either the guy fleeing or the police.

If anyone innocent was hurt, there would be no legal action they could take. Should the police take a more responsible action to catch a criminal?

I was accused by a man of having hit his vehicle in a parking lot, I did not think I had done so and he was scaring me so I left w/o giving him info. He later filed a police report and claim w. my insurance, I'm cooperating w. the insurance investigation, and I called the police the next day (shouldn't have waited, I know, but I was pretty shaken up from being yelled at by scary weird guy) - the dispatcher told me the police did get to the scene at some point (I was there for maybe 30-40 minutes after the alleged incident so not in that time frame) and took a report but would not be pursuing it. I offered to cooperate should there be an investigation, but she didn't take any details (other than the police report #), just told me to forget it. Still I'm worried the guy may decide to file charges against me later - can/will the police re-open accident investigation? How will it affect things if my insurance does/does not find me liable? How long will this be hanging over my head?

I've heard that instead of reporting to your local police, you're supposed to contact the ATF when you catch someone stealing cigarettes or alcohol, is this correct? What happens if people don't follow this protocol, are they breaking the law themselves by not reporting a federal offense?
