While driving home one night about 9 p.m., a police officer passed me and then turned around and begun following me. During the half mile that he followed me he was so close to me that i could barely see his headlights. During this time we were both moving 45 mph and then 55 mph. He then pulled me over because head said my tags were expired (and they were, it was my fault). Any way, I was wondering if it was possible to get off on the ticket by saying that by following much to closely at a high rate of speed that the cop endangered my safety and the safety of my passenger.

I am trying to understand how the law works, just curious.

Below is a link to a horrendous crime that happened locally.

Two ppl were kidnapped, tortured and murdered. What I am trying to understand is if 2 ppl were killed, how can a suspect be charged with 16 counts of murder? I don't disagree with it, I think they probably can't punish them enough for the crime, I am just trying to figure out how it counts more than once since they "only" kill someone once?

Help me understand here... thanks

I doubt they do and I cant see the British Government letting them do any business unless they were under the control of Scotland Yard or other police forces in Britain but i always hear about the doing operations in other countries. Surely this is highly illegal.

If i was to make a website inciting people to kill GW Bush would they come knocking at my door? Im not going to of course as I have better things to do but IF i did would they show up? The British government cannot do anything as it incites no hatred or idea to kill a British citizen.

Im intrigued to hear what you have to say and would appreciate some facts to go with it.

I FAILED MY FIRST DRUG TEST. Everyone tells me that that doesnt count, its kinda like a bar you set and your level has to go down every test after that. WILL I GET SUMONED TO COURT for this? Thanks a lot

Our neighor keeps parking on our property. Technically, we think it may be partly her yard, but she consistantly parks with the rear end of her car in our driveway. We don't exactly have a friendly history... how can we get this to stop without starting a "neighbor war"???

Also, if she gets nasty, can we legally have it towed?

I kinda blacked out and randomly walked out of the court room before my name was called to see the judge, my case worker seen me so did a Sheriff I was constanly being harrassed by my family to not go and just pay the fine and the warrant for not showing will be dropped after I paid it. Well, I signed into court and I don't know what I was thinking but I just got up and left. I know i have a warrant now. What else can they do for signing in and then leaving? I feel really stupid for leaving, but i have 2 kids that need me and my job.

I was stopped at a traffic light, it was the early afternoon and I was pulled up behind a cop in his squad car, anways, out of nowhere, I hear a loud "thump" and next thing I know, my car goes flying into the back of the police car, glass is breaking around me and I'm hearing tires screeching. When I realized that my car had been rear-ended, in turn, rear end the cop, I got out to see the damage. The cop, who was mad, but not hurt, was getting out of his car... Found out, the person who rear ended me was a 47 year old man who arguing with his 25 year old wife about if she was cheating on him, he took his eyes off the road and when he looked again, he was about to plow into me and could not stop in time. He admitted this to the cop and was ticketed, but then I was ticketed as well becuase the cop said I was pulled to close to his bumper when I was in traffic and had I not been so close, I would not have hit his police car!! Does this sound fair? Do I have a snowball's chance fighting?
