It depends on the state.

I would guess that this is essentially a form of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. You will probably have to pay a fine, get put on probation, or go to a class about drug use. There really isn't a way you can get this off your record, unless that is a part of what the judge wants (maybe you take a class, do some community service and have twelve months of probation and the charge disappears from your record). This is really not that serious of a charge.

If you're lucky, the cop won't even show up and the case will be dismissed. Most likely, nothing will happen to you because you had such a small amount, without the intent to sell. If this happens, you will may just have an arrest record which is essentially nothing. Just say a couple prayers! Good luck!

depends on the state but generally if its your first offense they will fine you and you will go on probation for 6 months after which the charges will be dropped. Thats how it is in NJ. I was in a similar situation last year. You might want to go see a lawyer and find out what your options are. The more knowledge you have the better off you will be in the long run.

Depending upon the state you were arrested in....MOST states still maintain possession of marijuana charges as a misdemeanor charge which on a FIRST offense is NORMALLY a payment of court costs, fines, and probation!

In my state, any subsequent arrest after a first conviction is a mandatory Felony arrest!

Can you get it off your record? Most likely...no!

You can, depending upon your age, apply for Youthful Offender Status if your state has such a program!

Best wishes!

A 6th degree is usually a misdemeanor. Maybe a fine.
