The instant a piece of technology is invented to make our lives easier, someone immediately abuses it. The invention of the telephone made possible long distance vocal harassment by wire... Who made the first dirty phone call? In what year? What did he (I'm assuming it was a 'he') say? And to whom?

They are announcing again that the cops will be out on Super Bowl Day watching for drunk drivers, etc, but we drive all day long and never see one cop or highway patrol or anything. Other drivers must have known there were not going to be any cops out because they were all speeding about 120 mph and using the diamond lanes for two or more people per car with only one person in the car, etc. Guess they knew it was their day to speed and break every traffic law with no fear of being caught.

Patrick Lynch, the president of the New York City Patrolmens Benevolent Association, says that New York Police Deparment starting salaries are too low. Police officers start out at $ 25,000 a year and the top salary is $ 54,000. Do you agree that those salaries are too low, considering how expensive New York City's cost of living is?

Some police departments unofficially require officers to write a certain number of tickets every month. What about your department? Do you have a ticket quota? And what happens if you don't meet your quota?

The other day I recieved a speeding ticket for going 40 mph in a 25. With out a doubt, I deserved the ticket. But here is my delima: The speeding took place at 3:48 PM. But when the cop filled out the ticket, he put that it happened at 3:48 AM. Should I plead innocent because of the error, or would this not hold up in court? Thanks in advance for the help.

My case is in Van Nuys, California and one of my requirements is to install a breathalyzer in my car before I start driving. I called a place to have it done but they told me that the DMV isn't requiring me to have one.....sooooo if I get pulled over, I'm thinking that the police are not going to have records of me needing one because they only have DMV information. I'm just assuming that last part but if anyone can give me a little insight into the matter I would really appreciate it. My reason for not installing is that I could really use the extra $65 a month. Please answer with ways in which I can get caught if I decide not to install one of these devices. Thanks!

I am in the process of selling a car to my sister. She was to make timely monthly payments for one year. Now she is three months behind and is refusing to pay the money. This was a verbal agreement between us and I do not have a contract. The title however is still in my name as the lein-holder. Can I legally have the car repoed?
