Corruption, anywhere and at any level, exists no matter what. Some of the police may be corrupt, but since I don't involve myself in illegal activities, I do not deal with them much. The real problem more than corruption you should ask, should be, "Are your police inept?" The police around my city seem to be better at giving law abiding citizens tickets than they are at catching criminals.

My local police department is university police. I've talked to many resident assistance officers... Which are students who report crimes, and they say that half the crap the police do they are not supposed to do, and when they talk about it in the meeting the police think it's funny that the bust people wrongfully.
Soldier of God says he's a cop, but he can't spell soldier.

The Seaside, California police dept. is corrupt. It is very frustrating!

well, i think there is some dirt in every department. All in all the majority of police officers/departments are good and decent.

I've had police save me and my friends and family numerous times and never had a problem. I see once or twice a year something on the news that is bad but I have never had a problem personally. What puts you in a position to judge them?

most recent: our police dept is in trouble with the NAACP for racial slurs being said w/in the dept where african americans work. and not long ago one cop got in trouble for having sex with a 14 or 15 year old girl. He is still on the force.
