My boyfriend is in the police academy, but is no longer sure he wants to be a cop. I told him he should stick it out and finish up, but he thinks he's wasting his time and money continuing. How can I encourage him to keep with it and finish the training? Is actually being a cop different from the academy? Do different cities offer different experiences of police work than the one he is familiar with?

And what else can he do with that training besides just being a police officer? Is there other service work that it might prepare him for? He is willing to go back to school eventually.

I just read an article that said that a police officer is not allowed the use of deadly force on a moving vehicle. The author of the article also says that a vehicle can never be used as a reason for an officer to invoke the use of deadly force on a suspect whether their life is in danger. Is that true?

When I was 15, a 35 year old man posing as a 24 ( not any better but at 15 i thought i was cool because an older guy liked me) took my virginity. He bought me alot of gifts and started telling me if i stopped talking to him he would kill himself. I went to my mom but never told her everything he did to me because i thought i would be in trouble. He somehow got my friends emails and sent letters to all of them saying i was a whore and had AIDS (both of course not true). The police came out and questioned me but still scared i lied and told them he never touched me. I am 23 now and i came across his name in the sex offenders list about 3 months ago. There was alot of things listed under his name but nothing about sex crimes with minors. Its been eating at me and i am afraid if he did this to me who else has he hurt. I finally told my mother last night and she went to the police this morning. I thought after 8 years nothing could be done but the police are telling my mother different.

Fingerprint technology has helped trap many criminals there can be little doubt. Detection rates as a result of DNA matching we are told has greatly increased the detection rate. I imagine that planting fingerprints at a crime scene would be fairly difficult but not so the planting of DNA material. Body fluids could be quite easily introduced to a crime scene by devious individuals and could confuse forensic experts. I am not contemplating such activity it's only a thought. Is it feasible I wonder. What do you reckon pondlife.

I have been accused of a serious matter at work, and have agreed to take a polygraph test to clear my name.
The truth is I am guilty as accused. But all my life I have been a compulsive liar, and agreed to the test because I figured I could fool the machine.
Any tips?

My husband was just subpoena'd today for next Monday when we're on vacation. We're leaving in 2 days.

The vacation cost us $6,000 & we've been planning for it all year.

How can they give you only 1 week's notice for this sort of thing?

His is the victim in this crime as a scam artist was using his business name to do business, picking up a deposit payment never to return.

The cops caught him in a sting with one of his "customers". He's also done this with other companies. My husband has a partner, but he was also subpoena'd & they want them both.

I told him to ask the judge/D.A. to postpone/excuse him from the hearing due to the vacation.

Yet he's telling me the D.A. told him he HAS to go.

Any advice as to what to do? Can they really do this? We're the victim here and we have to miss out on our vacation?? It's a non-refundable kind with a special group, so it's not like we can do it another week.

Please help!

Signed, stressed out with 2 days to go!

Or if you don't know what im talking about, just a pill that cleans your system out in 24 hours....
for UAs specifically.... Just alcohol though...
Possibly for marijuana though????
Does anybody know a good "detox" pill so if I do smoke pot, that it will show up clean in myt UA.
my color for ColorCode gets called about once every month and a half- 2 months..
And if your UA comes out like too dilluted in water, will they make you take it again or question it...?
one more thing haha, if i drank the night before and i have a UA the next day, should i just drink as much of any liquids as possible??

I look at some officers and think, "How in the world could they possibly chase an offender if they take off?" I want to be a cop, have since I was a fourth grader. Got busy with life and I'm unhappy where I am working. I have had a couple of officers encourage me. Some friends tell me I am not big or strong enough. What can I do? Do you know of any officers that are "short"? Is it working out for them? Do they train a tiny girl how to handle a 6 foot 250 pound man strung out on meth or crack?
