Fingerprint technology has helped trap many criminals there can be little doubt. Detection rates as a result of DNA matching we are told has greatly increased the detection rate. I imagine that planting fingerprints at a crime scene would be fairly difficult but not so the planting of DNA material. Body fluids could be quite easily introduced to a crime scene by devious individuals and could confuse forensic experts. I am not contemplating such activity it's only a thought. Is it feasible I wonder. What do you reckon pondlife.

I would think that planting DNA as you suggest to try to incriminate someone else can soon be discounted by peoples alibis to prove they were elsewhere. although it may be possible to "plant" DNA the suspect could soon prove they were not there. ALso the one who plants DNA can leave their DNA behind.

it is possible for the transferring of DNA to a crime scene under legit circumstances. There are many cases lost this way and people who are arrested end up being released, because they have a legitimate reason as to why there DNA was at the scene. This also causes headaches for the Forensic Science Service when police officers enter a crime scene and then having to negate there DNA from other DNA found. So as you can see DNA can be left at a scene legitimately, or in rare cases planted there by crooks.

Yes that could happen but I dont know what the police would do about it or can do about it. This is a strange world and people get accused for wrong things and their families suffer for some one else which is not right at all.
Very strange place we live in.

Well you should contemplate it as it's only a matter of time before someone gets fitted up by the law, just look at the innocent folk awaiting appeals just now for wrongful conviction, as the stakes and payoffs get higher so does the body count. and you better believe it.
