Go to the web site of the paper. They all have them. Then go to archives. If you have a complete date this should be very easy. If you live in the same town as where the crime was committed, go directly to the publisher of the newspaper and ask for a copy of the sentencing. This will cost a small fee. Library microfilms are also an excellent resource. The librarian will be happy to assist you. Copies usually cost 25-50 cents.
