Not to impersonate a cop for real, but for Halloween, etc.? I've never seen them sold anywhere like Goodwill, I just wonder what cops do with their old uniforms.

GTdist.com sells new uniforms for law enforcement and Security.

There is a unwritten rule in law enforcement suppliers that they don't sell Badges, Patches, Or any uniforms with pre-applied law enforcement identification to anyone who is not a sworn officer.

Impersonating a police officer is against the law (You must be a early bird because it is still a long way from Halloween). You can buy standard patches the say security and such online. Choose colors that are different then those of the local police, Sheriff, and State police.

All of the departments that I am aware of destroy old uniforms so they can not get into the wrong hands, People have been killed because of impersonators so take due caution.

I believe they go back to the department specifically so people have less opportunity to impersonate cops. Just try a costume shop for a generic cop uniform.

You can get the uniform without any of the dept. patches, or ornaments on them. This is legal.
