At a family gathering for the holidays a giftcard was stolen that was a local mall gift card. I was wondering if anyone knew if i called the place it was spent if they would look on the cameras and see who it was. We know it was someone in the family and wish to find out who it was. With the holidays we we're wondering if that was even possible, and if authorities would even give it the time of day and look into it. It was for $100 and only $40 was spent. But we were talking and we didn't know if the police or mall security would even do that, if they even can. What do they do when a stolen credit card is used? Any feedback would be helpful, any at all!! Thank You!

The guardianship papers are temporary so she could go stay with him.I changed my mind because he threatened to take her from me.They were not signed by a judge so how hard will it be for me to change it.

Should they be held liable and sued for it? Is it a privacy issue? In Nevada for example, some would say it is because it is a "Community Property" issue. Each lanlord or rental company has a right to access their property, even though you are paying them rent. It doesn't matter if you have a criminal record or not, some are plain nosey and are thieves. They can enter and remove your belongings without any repercussions. Each landlord has their own fifedom, doing basically what they want to and dare you to bring charges. Input please.

If a spouse calls 911 and police comes , then how is the arrest process goes from there ? If the victim says to police that he/she was attacked by other and the other spouse also says the same or similar thing then how Police decided whom to arrest ? how the process goes from there?

It was a high speed chase involving Vandalia Police Pd, in ohio, by Dayton, would love to have all newspaper articles involving this accident. The man hurt was 8 days away of becoming a Dayton Police Officer, now he is hurt and so is his baby who is 3 months old, and also his pregnant wife. Thanks DEb

hi does anyone know if a police caution given about 7 years ago would show up on a check done by a prospective employer ?
its not for me but for a close friend of mine who wants to apply for a job where i work and is worried it will show up and be embarresing for her and for me as i told her about the job.
from what she has told me it was for shop lifting and was her first and only offence. i don't know if she is worrying over nothing.

I have a few TiVo units with lifetime service agreements. Recently, my sister stole one of them. She told the police I gave it to her as a gift and I couldn't prove that she stole it, so she still has it. I cut off the service to it a few days ago, but she somehow got enough information of mine to get TiVo to put the account in her name and lock me out. Since I had paid for everything (the units and service agreements) I was able to prove to TiVo who I was and get the accounts placed back in my name and her and anyone else locked out, plus service to the stolen unit cancelled.

Her having lied to get TiVo to do that constitutes fraud, which is something I can prove. She has stolen other items from me as well (a computer and camcorder among them) which she also claimed were gifts, and while I can prove I bought them I can't prove she stole them. Since I can prove fraud and she has stolen and done other things to me, I would like her punished, but don't know how to proceed.

I was driving on the NYS Thruway to buffalo in a hurry to get home for christmas in canada. I was driving about 90 MPH on a 65 Speed limt. There was an unmarked police car tailing me, but surprisingly he didn't pull me over he overtook me and exited off the highway. He was tailing me for a long time several miles.

I just was conned by someone who has a 30,000 dollar bond on him from a nearby state. I spoke to the Bounty Hunter the Bonding company has hired. He offered me a pathetic sum of 500 dollars to tell him where ot find this person. Im being told I should be entitled to half of the total bond. Is this true?? If so how do I endure i get what im promised? THis is a non violent criminal. IM trying to recover what he conned out of me. Time is of the essence. What do I do?

Should I contact law enforcement ? here is what happened The buyer on ebay said I misrepresented the auction with 5lbs, but after seeing her complaint on paypal it was clear she committed a fraud.. she copied and pasted my auction, then took the L off 5lbs and added a 1 that read 51lbs, and this was the pretext that she filed a complaint misrepresentation she said it was for 51lbs and it was misreresented 5lbs of unsearched wheat pennies is not 51bs as she copied and pasted Should I contact law enforcement?? I have a record for theft from an employer, and it will become 'spent' within 5 years so I don't have to disclose it after that.

I was wondering, does the record ever get deleted, or can you apply for it to be deleted? Isn't it within 10 years or so? I'm not looking for answers pulled off the internet, I want a definitive answer as to whether a record for a minor offence is actually deleted. I'm just thinking about years down the line if I wanted to move abroad or something it could cause some trouble.
