what can i do to resolve this and how

Did you do something to be flagged?

Prohibited from owning firearms:

(1) Has been convicted in any court of a crime punishable by
imprisonment for a term exceeding one year;
(2) Is a fugitive from justice;
(3) Is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance;
(4) Has been adjudicated as a mental defective or committed to a
mental institution;
(5) Is an alien illegally or unlawfully in the United States;
(6) Has been discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable
conditions;
(7) Having been a citizen of the United States, has renounced U.S.
citizenship;
(8) Is subject to a court order that restrains the person from
harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of
such intimate partner; or
(9) Has been convicted in any court of a misdemeanor crime of
domestic violence.


If these don't apply to you, contact the FBI and ask instructions.

if you have done nothing wrong and you try to fix it it will take a long time and it will be a pain in the butt to fix they had me mixed up with another person but the NICS background check never stopped me from getting a gun only when i tried to get a concealed weapon permit and a class 3 for a machine gun but i finely got both

you have to wait and can demand from them inder the freedom of information act a reason, then file an appeal, warning though once youve been flagged anytime youpurchase a firearm you will undergo the same hassell

Lots of times this happens if you share a common name especially if you are a Jr. or the third or something like that. Don't ask me why you have a different S.S number but it happens

you'll have to call in and ask why you were denied, sometimes it can be
something as simple as a parking ticket or speeding ticket, which is
NOT allowed to prevent you from buying an arm, get them to fix that
then go back and try again...or buy at a private sale VS public sale...

If you do ot meet the requirements, then you can't

Are you a felon, do you have a warrant for you,

Are you a citizen, you must have something in your criminal record stoping you.
