how can a police charge a person with public intoxication if that person is in their own personal vehicle sleep?

This person WAS parked in a private parking lot at a local ampitheatre, but he did not have his keys in the ignition. The cop woke this person up and charge him with public intox.

This person was intoxicated but he chose to sleep it off rather than drive home drunk.

Can anyone verify if this charge is valid or not?

As I was working out in the gym, I happen to find a cell in the treadmill. I took the cell. I decided I would call the "Home" contact on the cell to see if they can come pick it up, or if they wanted me to go drop it off, after my workout. As I was about to call the home number, the cell rings and it is the owner. I tell the owner " I have found your cell where can I met you to give it back?" He says met him at the the gym. I go back to the gym where I give the owner the cell phone, he then tells me to come closer, and shows me a badge, which I could barely see, and asks my age. I say 17 and he threatens to take me to Juvie. He then procedes to say "If it were the wrong person you could've been F'd up, get lose chump". I go away.

I did not do anything wrong, I was nice enough to return the phone. I felt mistreated. He goes to the same gym and I plan on asking him for his bagde # the next time I see. My ? is if I ask must he give it? And what can I do about this situation.

Thank u.

I have a guy friend in prison and I get to ask him a lot of those questions that you've always wanted to know about prison. One thing I asked about was communal underthings - do they get their very own or are they like sheets and they just get what they get when the laundry comes back. He said that when you get to jail you get your own stuff but it's only new to you.

Eeew!

So now I want to know if this is true for women's prisons too? Are the panties and things only new to you? And what are the bras like? Do they match? I assume they don't have underwires, but do they have any kind of support at all? Also, what about tampons? My friend said that he has to buy all of his own hygiene products (soap, toothpaste, etc) does that apply to tampons and such in the women's prison?

I know these are weird questions but I'm just curious if there are any women out there who have been to prison and can let me know? Thanks!

My brother in law got his second DUI last night (GEEZ). He got his first one under the age of 18... now he is 22. Does the punishment matter for the state (CA), or the circumstances... (he was in a drive thru and a cop went up to his window) or does anyone know where I can find out the info on punishment? Asking because my guy really wants his brother to move to where we live and get out of that black hole of destruction that is our home town... lol. Anyways, I hope he learned his lesson, I'm thinking he might have to sale his 1999 Toyota Tacoma to pay the fine, which I thought was a universal $10,000.00 for a seconf offense. BUT I would appreciate any info.

I am definately AGAINST abortion and FOR capital punishment because the child is a PERSON at conception and is INNOCENT. The murderers are GUILTY and NEED to be done away with. Why should our tax dollars feed the like of them? I say that Wisconsin needs to have a death penality.

AP
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Upset by the war in Iraq, Julia Wilson vented her frustrations with President Bush last spring on her Web page on MySpace.com.

She posted a picture of the president, scrawled “Kill Bush” across the top and drew a dagger stabbing his outstretched hand. She later replaced her page on the social-networking site after learning in her eighth-grade history class that such threats are a federal offense.
It was too late.

Federal authorities had found the page and placed Wilson on their checklist. They finally reached her this week in her molecular biology class.

The 14-year-old freshman was taken out of class Wednesday and questioned for about 15 minutes by two Secret Service agents. The incident has upset her parents, who said the agents should have included them when they questioned their daughter.
Wilson said the agents threatened her by saying she could be sent to juvenile hall for making the threat.
