By this being a form of punishment having to always being confined to one area not freely being able to move about with out getting caught, I guess I would have to say without really giving it any thought Let this continue keeping all Criminals OFF the streets not able to engage in anymore Crime. It would help me not want to Break Any Laws, Hell the thought of going to jail/prison helps me stay a law abiding citizen. LOL

It works, as long as the offender goes along with it.
Most people think the bracelet tracks the offender down, and that is not the situation. It merely records when the person is near a reader. It is NOT an implanted GPS system.
The plastic band holds the monitor, and it is very easy to cut off.

Anything to keep children and the innocent safe. Confinement is too extreme, but electric monitoring definately.

it really doesn't work as well as everybody wants it to, they can just cut the device off and leave it in the house and none would know the differance, and if you are talking about the offenders I think your talking about they should never be let out in the first place because no matter what you do they will find a way to hurt somebody

I agree..for first time offenders and minor crime..yes as long as its GPS based and checked on a regular basis for fit and service. If it isn't GPS based then it's a joke

I think if it were for first-time offenders AND it wasn't a crime of violence, that wouldn't be a bad idea. For any other offense, incarceration has to be put in force.
