I'm pretty sure that I don't have one out on me, otherwise I'd have been arrested by now, but I just want to double check. I don't have the money for paysites, but isn't there a free tool out there that I can use to help me find out? I'm in Georgia.

Do you think that if we branded a criminal with a tattoo on their forehead (or other visible location), that it would deter people from commiting crimes?

For example, a child molester be branded with the word "Pedophile"..or a thief "Thief".

Maybe we could just use symbols instead of the entire word.

How effective do you think this would be? Would it be a better alternative to prison or even the death penalty? Would it save money on tax monies that support the prison system?

Branding would probably work better as tattoos can be removed.

thoughts on this?

Motorists here the UK who drive mini-motos recklessly or cause problems in their community were warned by the government this week that they could be given a driving ban or even have their vehicles crushed."

I definately think it's fair because they are a menace..

There was a case where a judge ordered that a guy's jewels be removed by surgery but then six monthes later he committed the same crime with a different victim. So basically what I'm asking is how would you try to rehabilitate a sexual predator? It's also worth pointing out that there are women sexual predators also.

How will you handle this situation?

It's late at night, exactly11:30 pm, in a parking lot outside a liquor store (Which is closed.) where no other stores are close by, 3 big black guys (Which appears that the smallest of the three is 220 LBS.) are beating up a white drunk guy very badly. You are in your car (But it wont start.) and you are the only witness, but you can't help the poor guy to fight the three big guys because your only 125 LBS 5' - 11". You don't know where the nearby Police station is. You didn't have a cell phone with you (Nor are there any pay phones around, because even if there was you don't have money to make a phone call, and the nearest phone is 30 kilometers away.). You know that even if you're manged to call police, they won't be able to arrive for at least the next 30 min because its over 50 kilometers away to the nearest police station. it's such a deserted area. that your cell phone doesn't have reception. How will you handle this situation?

I watch police videos whenever I can.
It always appears that an officer gets shot or injured when they are working solo.
Why does your department allow one-man units to go out on the streets.
Especially the Troopers where it takes forever to get a back-up.
Is 'money' the only reason?

hit and run, what would you do?
I had a guy that was "likely" an illegal alien, damage my property with his car and then drive off. I filed a Pol. Rep and then sleuthed around myself and was able to find the guy and fianlly got a cop up to confront the guy. He was the registered owner but said he had no insurance, he was unlicensed and spoke little or no English. The police cut him loose at first. I pitched a fit about it and after 2 supplimental Pol. Rep. and a argumentative conversation with a sargent, finally got the perp picked up. They towed his car and cited him for no license and no insurance. I got the distinct impression that they didn't want to get this person but because I pitched a fit, they finally nailed him. At least he's not driving a car with no insurance and not damaging others lives or property. Why did I have to work so hard to get the Police to do their job here? What if this guy was a terrorist? Seems to me he's illegally in USA. Shouldn't ICE b notified?

My cousin was visiting us in southern Illinois, from California. A local cop gave him a ticket for having tinted windows. he said he was just visiting, and the cop told him, "I don't give a SHlT if you are just passing through; you have tinted windows and that's illegal here!"
And gave him a ticket, so he went back to California as soon as he got packed again.

I got a red light ticket. Different people told me to say nolo, and that way get off the hook. However, I heard that if the cop does not show up, I should say I am not guilty instead. How does that work? What is the best thing to say in either situation (with or without the cop there)?
