There was a case where a judge ordered that a guy's jewels be removed by surgery but then six monthes later he committed the same crime with a different victim. So basically what I'm asking is how would you try to rehabilitate a sexual predator? It's also worth pointing out that there are women sexual predators also.

The only way to rehabilitate any person is if they want the rehabilitation... It is proved that most inmates even after extensive therapy and life skills training etc... are likely to return to prison within 2 years of release or parole for a similar crime or violations of parole agreements. Most inmates when incarcerated will remain at the mental age of the time they were incarcerated (I.E. A 18 year old person is convicted for a crime and incarcerated until he turns 50 years old will still retain the mental age of an 18 year old even though his chronological age is much older... In other words he does not learn maturity or the self reliance or wisdom needed to cope outside of a structured setting.)

Sexually assaulting anyone is a violent and malicious act. it is usually well planned and while the victim is scarred for life, the predator is given a few years, sometimes months if they are let out on good behavior, then they can walk away with a clear conscious. No matter what the medical community has said anyone who touches another person, hurts, and invades them in such away is sick! They are not just behaving badly, they are sick, they have a need for power, and to hurt others. These people should not be allowed to roam free. Sexual assault is not an accident it is a violent premeditated attack on another person's sense of security. They should be locked away, under go severe therapy , or if they are truly vicious they should be executed.

There is no true rehab for a sexual predator. It's not in their genetalia that the problem exists.. it's in their brain. And since it's illegal to preform a lobotomy on someone, there is no real rehabilitation that would work. All sexual predators should be jailed for life... no chance of seeing the world outside of prison. That is the only way of keeping the world safe from them. And our children.
Yes, there are women sexual predators... you just don't hear about them.. maybe because they don't get reported as much as they should.

I do not believe that a sexual predator can be rehabilitated - only controlled
either by incarceration or medicine. Our society still thinks of prison as "rehabilitation" and that could not be further from reality. I personally feel that they should be put away for good.

Umm... you could lock them up, and laugh through the bars at them.. but honestly, I would rather watch them die. Not to sound like some psycho killer or anything, but I think that if removing their stuff doesn't work, then just remove them. let God sort 'em out.

ooor. on a lighter note, we could just do to them what they did to their victims. If a man, or woman, raped and killed someone, then shouldn't the same happen to them? I mean, really... it's not right if they kill someone after doing whatever they pleased to the poor person, and getting out of jail or off probation in a few months or years. So what if he lost his package? Stuff like that won't do anything, just like you pointed out. They need something that'll stick with them for the rest of their lives, something that they'd never forget. and who could ever forget being raped, or molested? Do to them what they do to others.
buuut then people are like,"That's not humane, he/she's a person with rights too."

I believe that if they can hurt a person with no remorse, and just for their own pleasure, then they gave up their rights the moment they touched that other person. Were their victims treated with humane care? Did they get any rights? I don't think so, so why should the predator?

^.^ and that was my ranting for the day.

We live in a world where there is sin. We are told by God that everyone is a sinner. That means you, me, and everyone.

Have you ever stolen anything? I have. Have you ever lied? I have. Have you ever murdered anyone? I have (God says that if you hate someone it is the same as murdering them).

We are all born into as sinful state because of Adam and Eve's disobedience to God.

Rehabilitation comes when someone accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and repents (turns away) from their sins.

Jesus, came to the earth as God's only begotten Son, to become the sacrifice for our sins. The Bible says that He was without sin so He qualified to be our sacrifice.

When a person accepts Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, follows Him and turns away from the past then and only then can they be rehabilitated.

So many people are into porn these days which is what Satan uses to distort the sex that God has created for 1 man and 1 woman, who are married, to enjoy and love each other and create children.

It takes a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to overcome addictions and receive eternal life. It's like when someone exchanges the sinful life they are living for a new one living for Jesus.

However, when someone commits a crime (any crime) there must be consequences. Did you know that all convicted preditors must register as a sexual offender and will have this record for the rest of their lives. Lifes need to be changed before these things occur.

I wouldn't attempt rehabilitation. I'd like to think of my tax dollars as spent better..ie to enhance someone else's life....I don't want to pay to support or rehabilitate a sexual predator...eliminate them...But I'm not an American; I'm Canadian.

First and foremost, it takes the perpetrator to want to actually change. They need to be put through a rigorous process of group sessions, as well as one on one sessions, with licensed professionals. Simply removing their ability to preform does not, in any way, remove their desire to act on their attractions. There is more than likely a hidden reason why they think the way they do. It could be a traumatic childhood event, genetic abnormality, or just plain loss of reality. The root of the problem needs to be found and addressed. Sex is like every other vice, it is an addiction.

They have a method that involves pyhcological change in which they show the patient picture of potential victims (usually little boys and girls) and everytime they have a sexual thought they force them to smell ammonia. This has proven to be a very powerful technique that is used in california.

i think ALL sexual predators should get a death sentence, and that other people should not take the time to try and make them better cause almost all sex offenders re offend and even though some will say they will not do it again well that's to bad for them maybe they shouldn't have done it in the first place...kill them ALL
