lately to my yahoo email account i have been reciving numerous emails that are basically variations on the nigerian scam letter, though lately they seem to mostly come from england or some other african country, to what authority do i report these scam emails to? And am i risking anything by sending them sarcastic replys like somehow violating yahoos terms of service if i am rude in replying to them? Do i report them to some US authority or is there an international agency that deals with this? interpol or law enforcement in the given country, and how do i even know where these folks are? Can i somehow put the email in the hands of law enforcement that runs stings on these scamers? That is what i would most like to do.

My husband owns a 1993 Ford Ranger. It's a 5-speed standard transmission and--as we say--doesn't go anywhere in a hurry.

Earlier today, my husband got a speeding ticket...the cop claimed he caught him on radar going 52 mph in a 40 mph zone. The problem is there is no way this is possible in this truck. My husband was at a red light first and was pulled over less than 1/4 mile down the road. The cop said he was speeding *after* the light turned green. My husband had *just* put it into 4th gear and had just made it up to 40 mph according to his speedometer when he noticed the cops lights in his rearview mirror.

How on earth can we go about proving this is a bogus ticket and that it's absolutely not possible for my husband to have been speeding?

it is a private party vs. private party matter. neither side has broken the law, but the other side thinks i am responsible for a bad streak of luck and is paranoid. he is also an attorney and kind of a bully. is there a way to stop my privacy from being compromised?

P.s. i asked this in law and ethics, too...i am very concerned. my wife and i are alone and we're not tough guys.

Okay. So I admit I was speeding...80 in a 70 zone. I know the amount of the ticket since Mr. Patrol man so helpfully filled that part in. Problem is...is I had every intention of paying the ticket. He said my court date would be the 20th of august..no prob right? Wrong. Here it is the 14th and I'm filling out m'check cause it's an out of state ticket and I don't have time with m'new job to go to court over it. So I'm looking it over to see where to mail this sucker and....oh ****. He has written August 11th as the court date!!! Crap. So now i'm sitting here...wondering what the hell to do.
I'm still planning to mail the damn thing out tomorrow...but my question now is. It's late. I didn't appear in court, the money didn't pass go and they didn't collect their $200 BY the 11th of August...
so what happens now?

I understand that the manager can enter the apt. for emergencies, but what about to just inspect the smoke detector. Even if I was not home he could come back when I am there and check the smoke detector.

My police officer friend oversaw me in a breakdance competition, though the song I was dancing to was, "I shot the sheriff." Now at the precint, his fellow officers make him always be the bad cop when they are beating a prisoner. I bought these chocolate chip cookies over there, they were on a shopping cart with other cookies and they were on sale for 1 dollar. I never even check the expiration dates but when I got home and one cookie I noticed it taste like poop so I checked to see if it was Dog Treats or something. But it had actually expired a hell of long time ago. Do you think its wrong for them to sell something sooooooo expired? I mean, doesn't the health inspector ever show up? I almost hit a cop cause he pulled right out in front of me I had the arrow and the right of way..then to top it off after I was behind him and we went about a quarter of a mi then he slammed on his breaks and pulls into a car dealership so frustrated I flipped him off ..(that was before I even knew he was a cop ...he was off duty...) so he gets behind me flashes his badge for me to pull over ...of course I call 911 and told them what was going on and even requested another cop...well she told me he was a cop to pull over....he has kids in his truck said I put his kids in danger yada yada yada a line of BS.....then slaps me with 2 tickets I dont deserve!one for following too close and for not yeilding when I had the green arrow...he was just mad cause I flipped him off...why do cops get by with **** like that?why are they sooooo crooked?what wld you peeps do about the tickets?
