OK... do you mean "mad" as in "mentally disturbed"....?
Or "mad" as in "angry"....?
If you are talking about mental illness....
then, quite likely you would not know that you are mentally disturbed... you would think that you are "normal."
And if you knew there was something wrong with you.... then you would still be mentally disturbed, but you would also be neurotic.

Nobody ever knows if they are mad or not. I assume you mean crazy, as opposed to angry. Craziness is difficult to define anyway. Some of our most original thinkers were considered mad in their own time, and it was only later that their brilliance was recognised.
I suppose that if more than half the people you know say you are mad, and nobody agrees with yo your ideas, then there's a good chance you are mad.

Mad is too looser term to describe insanity and mental health issues. The very worst kind of mental illnesses, schizophrenia, paranoia, and manic conditions, all have an element of an altered state of reality as a contributing factor, therefore the sufferer may not perceive they are ill as they are viewing the world and themselves through an unreal or altered state, therefore it is possible that you can be "mad" and not know it.

No your not mad. People who are mad don't even think bout it. If you were mad, you would be locked up in some way. Thank your lucky stars you are not mad and have the sense to ask some kind of question at least.

You're not mad.i don't think madness actually exists, its only a term created to name a behaviour type.you might be schizophrenic tho.there are 4 types, paranoid (hallucinations),hebephrenic (serious thought disorder and severe mood change),catatonic (movement and speech disorder),and simple(extreme eccentricity and poor social function),so take your pick.mixed forms of schizophrenia are not uncommon in the UK,so you might be all 4.if you can define what madness is according to you, rights and wrongs, then I'd seriously doubt that you're mad.

As someone stated before this was written about previously, a so-called catch-22.
If you're sane enough to know you're mad, then you are not really mad, where as if you were truly insane, then you would not know it, and hence would not call yourself 'mad'

Well,I think you would know if your mad when your mad. and I'm sure you would be mad anyway because you have a reason to be mad. And why stop being mad just because you know your mad.
Unless, you want to be happy. If you know your mad and you don't want to be mad and you want to be happy in stead, you might just change your mood so that your happy instead of mad. It all depends on why your mad and what mood you want to be in.
But, if you don't know your mad then you must have zoned out. Because I think you would know when your mad. At least thats my opinion.

Do you know you don't know how to spell, or use proper grammar? When you use the word "mad" do you mean "rabid animal" or do you mean "angry?"
Once you figure all that out, why don't you try asking your serious question again...
