The city of Dallas is looking at possibly banning sagging/ baggy pants in the city limits citing a public lewdness law and hoping to cut down gang violence as it is common practice for some gang members to conceal weapons in loose pants/shorts. Can they enforce this law?

.. grow and perpetuate! The situation has now gotten so bad, that they are afraid to even mention it, let alone do anything about it! The POLICE! They are now a law unto themselves. We are the only country in the World that has a police state, that dos,nt give a F**K, WHAT YOU DO! (as long as it dosn't cause them any work!).

We can worry more about terrorist in other countries but we can't worry about the ones in ours. What is up with that? Gangs are still as popular as they've always been. They are still killing and selling drugs so why isn't it illegal to be in a gang like that?

As a gunshot victim, I have written my Congressman asking that he provide me with information about how I might go about getting solid information on some shootings so that I would know exactly where I stand, and avoid commiting insurance fraud on any future policies, etc. His responce put into question the existance of gunshot records keeping at all as a practice of the federal government.

Are hospitals still required to amass and distribute such records to the federal government? Can victims of Gunshot wounds access these Fed. records if they exist? Is it that after a cop shoots a handcuffed man in a hospital parking lot that the police will then deny that that person was shot if by some miracle he survives the headwound? Will the hospital will do the same for "liability reasons" - should the victim recover memory? Do such records exist solely to allow insurance companies, able to access records of gunshots, to be able to refuse later policies on the basis of 'insurance fraud'?

My little bro got in trouble at school for touching a girl on the butt. He is only 12. The girl hadn't said anything but, her mom came to the school&told my mom&the principal that her daughter said my brother had been doing this all along. The woman also said my bro had been calling her house & hanging up. My little bro did admit to this because he&his friend were prank calling....I know that's a big deal&doesn't help his case, but children prank call all the time. My bro admits to making the calls but denies touching the girl. He said he touched her once because someone pushed him&he bumped into her. The other thing is my bro said that the girl has touched him too, because she once hit him in the face&knocked his glasses off. Also this little girl has also claimed another boy touched her,&she's been n a fight recently where she stabbed somone with a pencil. The mother wants to sue my mother. Can my mom sue 4 assault? Also can she bring up the other incidents the girl's in?

I am in OH. Who knows what the laws about minors getting picked up for curfew voilation are?
My daughter (age 16) was out with my permission 2 blocks from home getting coffee from a 24 hour gas station. She was picked up for curfew voilation (I didn't know there was one) by our "wonderful" police department. She arrested, patted down by a male officer and handcuffed in the back of the crusier, then to a wall at the station for 45 minutes total before I was called to come get her. Is this legal??
Keep in mind, she has never had a bit of trouble before this. She did not "mouth off" to the arresting officer, and they confirmed that.

As a 16-year-old I’ve learnt a lot from my local Police Department and it’s Officers that are encouraging and determined. If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be where I am right now.... I don’t know who the Police Officer is, however, these guys protect my community. And it’s as if ‘one falls, we all fall‘.

Overall they are also people and we should respect them for doing the job which most people aren’t willing to take... some people may hate them but they’ll still save you. And just because 2 are wrong doesn’t mean the rest 8 are also wrong. So please keep the negative talk to you because I can’t afford to care. I just want to know if it's all right to call. Thank-you:

My son was sentenced to 120 days in County for failure to appear in Court 7 years ago. Now he is begging us to find $2000 to pay his fine so he can get out cause it is so terrible for him. I don't have and can't get that much money so he will most likely sit there for 120 days. I'd appreciate any info.

I live in the peoples republik of MA and the gun laws are very strict here in terms of storage. Knowing that a 12 ga shotgun is best suited for home defense, I was wondering how I can keep it legally secured, yet ready for action should I need it. The law states that firearms must be kept in a locked container or otherwise secured with a trigger lock. I want to comply, but won't leave the gun laying around with just a trigger lock. Is there a bed-rail kind of lock that could be applied, keeping it out of site, yet secured and ready?
