Monday I got a parking ticket for "parking on or over curb",” vehicle off roadway and onto grass". I went to my school but I don't have a parking permit since I don't usually don't bring the car but the visitor parking spaces were filled so I had to park on a side street. I went to the closest street and found a spot between two other cars. I parked beside an empty lot, which was really overgrown and unkempt, so much that the grass was on the street. Now the street is not that wide so I just parked beside the curb, and since the lot was so overgrown my tire happened to roll onto some grass. I didn't really think I should park halfway in the middle of the street just to avoid some grass, which was on an abandoned lot. Well, they gave me a ticket, the bike cops game me a ticket. I've never had a ticket before in my life and they give me a ticket for that.

I read a story on habitual offenders and I believe these people break the law just so they can live in prison to free load off the tax payers. Do you think beating them with a stick could change thier minds?

As a teen, my mom made me attend tons of seminars on
sex and drugs, and basically showed me how to steer
clear of both; of course, I am forever grateful for
her diligence, because it made me who I am today.
Anyway, while I am in no way a fan or promoter of
drugs, one thing i've heard has piqued my curiousity.
Recently, at a community event, I was surprised to
hear the speaker say that the majority of drug
DEALERS, don't actually do drugs. This took me by
some surprise because, I don't know anything about the
drug selling business, but i'd have thought that in
order to know how and where to sell their products,
and know the ins and outs of the drug selling
business, they'd have to know something about the
product. I mean, it's just like someone that comes up
with an invention they want to market...they'd have to
try the invention to know what works, and how to make
it better to be marketable. Anyway, is this statement
about dealers a general belief? It certainly was news
to me.

I've visisted many US prisons and they are brutal awful places where people live a very harsh, and controlled life with little or no dignity. Most inmates are assaulted regularly. Where do these myths come from that it's a comfortable place with video games and laptops and bocci?

Also, given the fact that 90% of all inmates eventually live back in society with you and me, how could you justify the idea that prison should be even more harsh and brutal?

In the past few months I've been ticketed 4 times and towed once. In the past 4 or 5 years I've probably been ticketed 25 plus times. All parking tickets. Yes, parking tickets are made to enforce the law and make it easier for residents and businesses to provide and find eligiable parking. However, I've lived in Chicago my entire life and from my perspective the parking situation is far from improving. In fact, parking in the city and not getting ticketed or towed is almost unavoidable. Parking restrictions are not displayed well enough and it's not always possible to get a pass visitor areas. I've paid upwards of $1,500 in parking fines in the city, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Where does all this money go? Is anything being done to make improvements? Or, is the city sticking a poles in the ground displaying a parking restriction and violators are just paying fines that go straight into some politicians pocket? In my opinion, it seems less like law enforcement, and more like greed.

My idiot brother jokingly wrote me in on the ballot as County Sheriff of our fairly desolate county and it turns out I got the most votes and won. I have never even fired a damned handgun. I know nothing about the law or about managing a sheriff's department.
