The Secret Service is mainly charged with guarding the president and his family, the vice-president and his family, presidential candidates, former presidents who have security issues etc. The FBI investigates federal crimes that occur here in the United States. They assist other agencies with their duties and work closely with agencies like the DEA, ATF, and Secret Service in the performance of their duties.
