The best thing you can do is not drink at all. People like you who cover that up or even do it in the first place deserve to be caught. To drink and drive is asking for trouble. You should pray the cops do pull you over. The better end to a drunk driver is a night in jail, where no one got hurt.
When you get behind the wheel do you think of the child, mother, father or other people that are sharing the road with your drunk a s s? Of course you don't. I pray you get caught and I pray that you go to jail before someone dies.
Don't try cover it up! JUST Don't Do IT!!

Boy, did you open a can of worms on this one...
I must agree with the majority on don't drink and drive...
But as long as there are bars, lounges, pubs, clubs, and let's face it, ABC stores and grocery stores that sell alcohol someone is going to drink and drive...if you happen to be one of those that choose to put another's life in your hands I have heard that having an open bottle of Listerine mouth wash in your vehicle carries the same charge as having an open container of alcohol. Peanuts and cough drops are a dead giveaway to the officer to do a sobriety test and of course any smell of drugs can just be added to your DUI charge. The only "BEST WAY" to cover the smell of booze on your breath when pulled over is to have a designated driver at the wheel.

I am a police officer so here's the deal.......there is no way to cover up your breath from a breath test machine, as it takes a sample of deep lung air, not air from your mouth. 2100 parts of deep lung air is equal to one part of blood.
But......if you try to cover up the smell of alcohol so the officer stopping you does not have grounds to give you a breath test in the first place, you might have a chance (as long as there are no other grounds in the vehicle to do so like an open bottle of alcohol). If this is all you are trying to do, try smoking a cigar. I find it very hard to smell alcohol because the scent of the cigar is so overwhelming. Of course if you get out of he vehicle and the officer sees that you're so intoxicated that you can't stand up, your screwed.

Have you ever seen the movie Tommy Boy? Copy Chris Farley in the cop scene, jump out of the car and scream about bees attacking you and "ripping your flesh off". Just Kidding, that would never work, ever. Don't Drink!!!!! or get someone to drive for you!!!!!

Don't drink and drive is the best answer and advice that you will ever get. The minute you take that first drink you are dumber. The more you drink the worse stupid you get. Until you get so stupid that you qualify to be president of the United States.

As the survivor of a head-on collision with a drunk, off-duty cop going 60 mph in the wrong lane, I ask you sincerely: PLEASE DON'T DRiVE DRUNK!! Do your drinking at home with friends or find a designated driver if you must. Better yet, get help for your problem.
Anyone who drinks and drives will ultimately get caught, and what works for Mel Gibson with his millions and his "hey baby" good looks won't work for them. Risking the lives of innocents on the road for an alcohol high probably isn't worth the risk waking up with hangover in a cell full of hardened criminals who consider your bum community property.

you are a fool to drink and drive it's innocent people who end up getting killed because of mindless idiots like you i hope you do get caught by the police and they throw the book at you. How would you like it if someone killed a loved one after getting behind the wheel of a car after drinking would you be sitting here now and asking us the same question i dont think so

Don't drink and drive! I ahve heard that if you smoke 2 and a half cigarettes will cover up the smell.

have a friend that hasnt drinking to drive..I once had a friend of mine tell me that I decide to drive while Ive been drinking use 2 pennies on my tonuge...but thats not gonna stop me from looking like an idiot if a cop ever pulled me over though.
