I live in a small town and it was the local police. He didn't have his lights on. Are they above the law?

Situation:
The arresting officer in question claimed I failed to yield the right of way. The arresting officer stated that I was swerving which were his two probable causes for arresting me. The video on the other hand shows that as I was backing out of a driveway, I did yield the right of way to nobody on the road and sidewalk. The officer's car did swerve as shown on the video, but the tape never showed who caused the swerving. According to his audio, he claimed I did the swerving. As he was following my car, the video showed that I never did swerve on the road. Not until the officer turned on his lights and sirens did I begin to swerve. Will my case be thrown out of court and ready for expungment, or will I have to take this to a jury trial? I took the breathylizer test, and the results came back inconclusive. No blood or unrine test was administered to me at the time.

Whats the motivation for a person to become a police officer? There must be more than just the paycheck. What satisfaction does the job bring?

If you get yelled at for doing something stupid or unsafe to yourself or others then you NEED to be yelled at. Example: Going 50 MPH through a toll booth and you get stopped AND yelled at. You DESERVE to be yelled at. There's just too many stupid people in the world. If you were wrong then GET OVER IT!!!

Reuters: An American helped foil a burglary 4,589 miles away in Liverpool after spotting suspects raiding a shop whilst watching a webcam over the internet. I'm surprised our police managed to turn up in time to catch the 3 perpetrators, however, as in 99 times out of 100 the birds have flown. Congratulations Tex and, as an avid user of webcams in your country, I hope I can reciprocate some day.

I wonder how many people realize that two drinks at the company Christmas party can get you thrown in jail. You don't even have to fail a field sobriety test or breathalyzer test any more; it’s all up to the officer's discretion.

Many criminal offences are punishable by jail time. I read in the press that a state is filing criminal charges against a company. What I don't understand is how is the office punishable if the crime related to something that was punishable by jail time?

I asked a question on how you'd put a pill in someone's food. Well I was only curious and I mistakenly asked in a first person point of view. Well some people on here said they called the FBI and cops what do I do? And no I wasn't planning on it I was curious how people would do that.

Why are the police in the UK having to fight for their yearly cost of living pay rise of 3% when other public sector workers are getting it ? Are the police taken advantage of because they have no rights to take strike action ?

The other night, a co-worker claimed his wallet was missing from his backpack in the office. Then he "mentioned",that one of the other emp. should check to see if his was missing...it was. (his had 160.00 and credit cards in it (he said)....after security was called, everyone who was on duty that night, offered security to inpect their vehicles, lockers..etc. , except for the guy who "first" claimed his wallet was missing. (just a note:earlier in the eve, he tried to borrow $ from another employee.) but, later claimed he was missing $80.00 with his wallet. Anyway, long story short...the first guy with the missing wallet refused to cooperate w/ security the whole night, saying he'd handle it himself. The 2nd guy was so upset, that later he took the 1st guys car keys, went to his car, opened the trunk and found his wallet. He told security, but HE is the one who was susp. and then fired...the other guy is still employed here.. Is this Justice?or should they both have been suspended.?

two AQHA registered breeding stallions-
two Reg.standards bred (mare in foal) and her 8 yr old gelding son.I had someone looking after them for me, and the owner of the farm doesnt like horses , he loaded them up and sold them ,telling the sales barn they were his.A person from the horse rescue bought the mare and one stallion, and says she owns them now, regardless of my ownership and registration to me.
What i am asking is. Does anyone have knowledge to share with me before she puts my " kids " up for adoption than ill never see them again ?

Every week some innocent person is killed in the UK. Either they are stabbed, shot, run over or beaten to death. This is unacceptable, should we bring back the death penalty for violent criminals if their are proved beyond doubt to be guilty?
