The Government should provide Agricultural Camps for Homeless People - located someplace like the middle of Montana. United States Cities should not host the Homeless.
There is too much smog in US cities for the Homeless, the smog should be reserved for the workers!!

Why? Does it harm you when they ask for money? I can see arresting someone who persists to the point of harassment, but not simply for asking for some money. While I am sure that a great deal of beggars are capable of working (and should be), I must acknowledge that some people really are stuck in tough times. Just say no and walk away if they bug you so much. Better yet, give him some spare change. Regardless of his actual reality, if he is begging on the street it is likely that you are having a better day/life than he is.

WTF?!? So you would rather pay tax dollars to shelter an inmate (tens of thousands of dollars a year)than have to put up with a question on the street? You are a real humanitarian. Perhaps you should ask how the richest nation in the world has the largest first world prison population and the largest homeless population in developed nations. Or maybe it should be "Should heartless people be put in jail for being self centered boobs?"

Well, har har, USA can afford to give housing and food to criminals but not poor people. So, homeless people asking for money? Yes! Put them in jail, I'm sure that is a great improvement over their current living standards.

why? even though in jail they would get fed and a bed not to mention a roof over their head but to lock someone up just for being poor is rediculous. so if you were to run out of gas and had no money and you asked someone for help and a cop sees you should you go to jail for asking for money?

It's called panhandling and some places have laws against it. They don't always enforce them though. If you have a problem with a panhandler in particular check your city or state laws and the ask the police to intervene. If there are no laws then you might just want to ignore them or maybe give em a buck.

Legal currency buys shelter, food, clothing, and medical care...Beggars cannot be choosers but they can chose who they beg from. In a weak moment of pity I once thought of requesting the police detain a beggar, just to help/save him, then it came to me...Save from whom? If he wanted to go to jail or a shelter he would! At times I question the decisions I make for myself...Who am I to make that for someone else? Compassion came to mind, but I did not have the two dollars for his wine!

I dont think so. On what grounds.. harrasment? Does that mean that charities outside of grocery stores should also be arrested? Or your local church? Everyone asks for hand outs. Maybe its easier to just arrest them than to have to feel bad or angry when they approach you, but it would end up costing you money anyway. Your taxes.
