The other night, a co-worker claimed his wallet was missing from his backpack in the office. Then he "mentioned",that one of the other emp. should check to see if his was missing...it was. (his had 160.00 and credit cards in it (he said)....after security was called, everyone who was on duty that night, offered security to inpect their vehicles, lockers..etc. , except for the guy who "first" claimed his wallet was missing. (just a note:earlier in the eve, he tried to borrow $ from another employee.) but, later claimed he was missing $80.00 with his wallet. Anyway, long story short...the first guy with the missing wallet refused to cooperate w/ security the whole night, saying he'd handle it himself. The 2nd guy was so upset, that later he took the 1st guys car keys, went to his car, opened the trunk and found his wallet. He told security, but HE is the one who was susp. and then fired...the other guy is still employed here.. Is this Justice?or should they both have been suspended.?

The guy who is still employed acts like nothing ever happened and I don't want t o talk to him because I know he's the reason the other guy was fired.......(in my opinion)

IN ANSWER TO YOU R QUESTION.. THE FIRST GUY "CLAIMED HIS WALLET WAS STOLEN, REFUSED TO SUBMIT TO ANY SEARCHES , WHEN ALL OTHERS DID, ..DID NOT WANT SECURITIES HELP, EVEN TO FIND HIS WALLET, HE WAS NERVOUS ALL NIGHT AND ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE OTHER GUY CREDIT CARDS LIKE, WHAT CITY DO YOU LIVE IN, HOW MANY CARDS DO YOU HAVE..ETC,....THEN THE OTHER GYS WALLET WAS FOUND IN HIS TRUNK! HE SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST BEEN SUSPENDED TOO, UNTIL THE INVESTIGATION WAS CLEARED...THEN FIRED BECAUSE HE'S A THIEF.

No, it is not justice. Just try to talk about it outside of work. I know it's darn difficult to do, but do it unless you have another job in the wings.

I think that both guys were in the wrong. I also think that the guy who admitted going through the other guys car should NOT have been fired. Suspended yes, but not fired. I think that the guy who stole the wallet should have AT LEAST been suspended, I mean come on the security cameras had to have seen him take SOMETHING to his trunk earlier in the day. This is very unjust!!! You do the right thing by admitting to doing wrong (so you can pay your rent) and fired for it. There is something worng with the system at that job!!!!

This guy should have been arrested and fired. The person who found their wallet in the first guys trunk could have made a citizens arrest.
I worked with a scumbag like the first guy. He stold my wallet and then tried really hard to convince me that it was someone else.
Do you by chance live in Redding and the guys name is Tim?

this may not be justice..............but honey the chain of circumstances is so complete that it conclusively points towards that second guy. had he been prudent he would have taken some 1 with him while going to check the boot of first guy's car. but he did not (as you have not mentioned any ones' name as a witness). this is a necessary inference that he had a pretty good opportunity to plot the wallet in the boot of that car.
the second guy was not smart even if he was not the culprit.
thats all

Justice for that guy would be a punch in the face repeatedly for the rest of his life with no aspirin to relieve the pain once the alcohol has been poured over his seeping, bloody wounds!

Don't ever talk to that guy again. Make sure everyone knows what happened so he is ostracized and ignored. People are bad news sometimes.

The accused was fired because he stole the keys and did a 'break and enter'.
You can't be fired for lieing. It sucks, and I agree with you.

Maybe you should proof read your story and actually type in full words instead of short-forms. "Eve?" Is that supposed to be short for "evening?"

Just mind your own business. If you don't like the way it was handled, find a new job.
