You know, freedom has it's disadvantages to. Even though we are being oppressed and controlled more than ever in America, pure freedom drives alot of people to insanity. And by that I mean people don't know what to do with themselves. Their minds go haywire and think about so many different things when really most of their thought proccesses are unneccessary. People try to do to much, like most Americans try to do it all fixing cars, remodeling a house, cooking, working, raising kids, helping the neighbors do whatever, people start to believe they can do anything and before you know it they are really doing crappy jobs at everything. It doesn't mean their a bad person, it just means they try to do to much. And also with everyone differing so much from each other it is so hard to get things done in this country. Why do you think construction projects take so long and cost so much money? Why is there an environmental impact study on every project? Why are so many people disfunctional and on drugs, or just plain dumb? Anything goes here in the U.S and sometimes I don't know if it's the best situation!

Absolutely.

We can do anything we want to, as long as we stay within the bounds set by the government. And those bounds are necessary for national security.

If you don't have anything to hide, and if you are loyal to the government (as you should be) why would you have any reason to complain.

The government is only setting limits for your own good. Just like a parent sets limits for their children. That's the whole reason to have a government, to set limits so the liberals don't get to just make things up as they go along.

Nope, because if we were we are a police/government run country. However, North America is more free than most other continents, so I consider myself lucky anyways. It's really a no-win situation.

Sounds like a trick question.

No because police can walk around airports toting machine guns and killer german shepards while some bumblef*** breaks into cars in the airport garage and steals laptops and CDs.

See Baltimore Sun article.

No, the US isn't truly free, because we are a police state. However, we are not suppressed, which gives us more leeway that other countries ( such as the UAE).
