Yes, we need tougher laws to protect our children...

But the law should be for everyone, not just a few. The everyday Joey sits in jail until his hearing, if he gets sent to prison the other inmates make his life a living h***. Beleive it or not even criminals dislike child molesters. When they have done there time in lock up, the world outside is suppose to know their whereabouts so they do not slip through society unnoticed (supposedly!)

Now on the other hand, we have our men of faith, our school employees, and let us not forget our celebrities that love our children and are just as sick as the everyday Joey but because of their "statis" it seems it's ok to let them run free and molest at will. All a teacher has to do is go to another school and because the records are sealed no parent knows that a pedophile is teaching their precious child. Or send him/her to chruch to get them off the street and let's cover it up because he's a man of the cloth and just move him to the next church. Hey, send them willingly to Never-Neverland!!!

This is what I am saying, EVERYONE that molests a child should do time, I don't care who he/she is. The courts have failed our young when all the perpetrators are slapped on the wrist and let loose to repeat over and over again. And they don't even have to go to school or church or wonderlands to get molested...the internet is a breeding ground for all the sick'os in the world, praying on the young generation portraying themselves as a youngsters

Absolutely.

All of the debates and talk I keep hearing seem to focus on stiffer penalties for SECOND time offenders. What are these people, crazy?

A child predator should NOT get a second chance to destroy a child's life. The death penalty (don't tell me it's not deterrent - that's a debate for another time) makes it an absolute fact that the dirt bag won't get a second chance to satisfy his deviant fantasies, period!

Yes, they should be manditory lifes sentances. I'm talking about the ones where a adult molests a young child not the one where an 18 year old sleeps with a 17 year old.

Shoot yeah! These children get traumatized! I even been on a butt end of it when I was 6 or 7 (no pun intended)!

The problem is, however, they make prison fun to be in. They live better than those out of prison in many cases. But I would NEVER want to be in prison myself.

Yes. Child predators should be left in the desert with no water for raping or murdering a small child.

The laws should be toughest on murderers. People are so paranoid and scared of child molesters that they actually want them tracked and punished worse than somebody that kills someone.

The laws we have on the books would work well enough if we didn't have ubber liberal judges on the bench giving them a slap on the wrist.

You bet! I would certainly support life sentences or even the death penalty.
