So whats up with the cops' 2 inch from the bumper fetish they all have late at night while Im trying to get home? Clearly Im not doing anything wrong, am using my turn signals, and driving just at the speed limit but nope still have to follow me. I imagine that job is boring, huh? No wonder nobody likes you cops.

Wouldn't they think after 5 or 6 miles of on my butt, several turns, red lights that I probably WASN'T drunk? Are Cops that stupid??? I am POSITIVE the cop suckers would know BY THE 1ST MILE if I had some sort of a warrant or suspended license, wouldn't you? And to top it all off.. if your riding two inches from my bumper for 5-6 miles.. chances are Im NOT going to do anything wrong, donut boys.

Go harass someone else.

There's a very terrible situation in the US that mosty people are not aware of. In my "Human or Robot?", I revealed that an overwhelming percentage of the people in the US are generic beings. These imposters do not think and cannot reason.

Your incident is not isolated. I'll bet sometime or somewhere, you tried to reason with one of these beings. They do not like anyone who asks questions or dares to reason with them - you'll only scare the daylight out of them. They are trained to consider any thinker as threat and have directives to persecute. And as far as they concern, you are a threat! No, this is not Sci-fi!

Ya cops don't get paid squat and you only get to retire if you make it that long without getting injured or some disease from nasty people spitting on you or flinging poop on you. If you are coming home at the same time after work it is probably the same cop following you. People are always speeding unless there is a cop behind them, then they go 3 miles under the speed limit. Your cop is probably going to the same place at the same time you are coming home... maybe he's going to his house for a break, or lunch, or on his way home, who knows.... the best way to see if the cop is interested in pulling you over is to use your signal and pull over... if he ends up behind you again further up the road he is probably board... if not it's just coincidence and now he's happy cuz he can get to where he's going faster....

I often have to drive through several small towns on my way to or from work around midnight. I have some police cars that stalk me hoping I will screw up so they can bust me. I have also had a car problem on my way home and would've been stranded, walking to the next house up the road- Long ways- if a cop hadn't have asked me if I needed help. I don't know. I don't think it can be a truly easy job to do all that they do and they obviously can't be perfect but does the positive out way the negative? Sorry you had a booger on your tail. As long as you're behaving, it's more of a nuisance than anything.

Cops have to follow certain orders, whether you like them or not. It's their job. The real question, you have got to tackle here, is whether the cops like you or not. As friendly advice, to all good citizens, you do your rightful jobs sincerely, and let your "friendly Police Officers" do theirs, too. It's for your good, that the law enforcement agencies operate, exactly as they should, and, most often, their jobs are quite thankless and very challenging, for not only the officials, but also for the silent (behind-the-scene) sacrifices made by their families, without normal citizens even knowing an iota about these, additional stresses and strains.

Its all about $$$$. They know that if you follow someone long enough, especially if they are nervous, sooner or later they will make a mistake. Then they will have probable cause to pull you over and write you. Also, at the same time they are checking your plate number via computer.

well it is like this, sometimes it takes a few minutes to get the license plate check done. Then they can ask if the registered owner can be checked for warrants...which takes a few minutes more...
if you want them off your bumper pull over, that way if they want to talk to you then all they have to do is walk up right...

I've known people who were pulled over for suspicious driving because they were driving too close to the speed limit!
They went to court, and were asked "Why were you driving so slow, that late at night?" They said, because they knew cops were out patroling for drunk and unsafe drivers, and that they didn't want to be pulled over. They were asked, "Why were you afraid to be pulled over?" After that, everything they said sounded like they were hiding something.
They got fined for "suspicious and unsafe activity"!!!!!!!!

If you can get thier unit number you should report them for this unsafe conduct. Don't assume that thier supervisors or department would codone this activity. They were trying to see if they could get you to run or make you nervious enough to do something that would allow them to stop you. This is an unsafe proceedure and needs to be stopped. They may be charged with reckless driving just as you or I.

Maybe your cop was a bit myopic and needed a new script for his glasses?
