Why do parking enforcement officers of the Department of Public works think they are police officers? Everytime I encounter one, they are complete and utter a--holes. What do you think about parking tickets?

If everyone is made to wear seatbelts, and you can get a ticket for not wearing one, why is it that school buses with children on them do not have seatbelts. Buses get into accidents too, right?

Is it within department policies or is it legal for a police officer to call someone from a private number? I got a call from a cop yesterday, but I didn't answer because my caller I.D. indicated "private". The voicemail I got from that seargeant was that I had to return the call, (don't ask me why, thanks) which I did, but it was a disconnected number. I just want to know if when someone gets a call from a police department, should their number appear or are they also allowed to use private numbers?

So I call them and tell them someone is breaking into my shed in back of my house. They tell me police are busy and it could take them up to an hour to respond. So I hang up. I call back and tell them I shot the MOFO breaking into my shed, four cars arrived in under 2 minutes. What's the deal with that?

The following 15 Police Comments were taken off actual police car videos around the country.

#15 "Relax, the handcuffs are tight because they're new. They 'll stretch out after you wear them awhile."

#14 "Take your hands off the car, and I'll make your birth certificate a worthless document."

#13 "If you run, you'll only go to jail tired."

#12 "Can you run faster than 1200 feet per second? In case you didn't know, that is the average speed of a 9mm bullet fired from my gun."

#11 "So you don't know how fast you were going. I guess that means I can write anything I want on the ticket, huh?"

#10 "Yes, Sir, you can talk to the shift supervisor, but I don't think it will help. Oh. Did I mention that I am the shift supervisor?"

# 9 "Warning! You want a warning? O. K, I'm warning you not to do that again or I'll give you another ticket."

# 8 "The answer to this last question will determine whether you are drunk or not. Was Mickey Mouse a cat or a dog?"

# 7 "Fair? You want me to be fair? Listen, fair is a place where you go to ride on rides, eat cotton candy, and step in monkey DOO."

# 6 "Yeah, we have a quota. Two more tickets and my wife gets a toaster oven."

# 5 "In God we trust, all others we run through NCIC."

# 4 "Just how big were those two beers?"

# 3 "No sir we don't have quotas anymore. We used to have quotas but now we're allowed to write as many tickets as we want."

# 2 "I'm glad to hear the Chief of Police is a good personal friend of yours. At least you know someone who can post your bail."

And... THE BEST ONE!!!

# 1 "You didn't think we give pretty women tickets?... You're right, we don't. . Sign here

My new next-door-neighbor came to my door to tell me he was going to remove the wooden fence between our yards and build a block wall. I told him I wasn't financially able to pitch in, and he said that he wasn't going to ask for money....just permission.
I said that would be fine.
I went on vacation and when I returned the wall was completed.
I noticed they didn't 'dress' my side of the wall. All the cement between the blocks has dripped and it looks awful.
He also built a surrounding wall around our cable meter, which the electric company made him remove because it blocked their access.
I know I shouldn't really be complaining about the wall, but it looks so bad I don't think it will be a good 'selling point' when I put the house on the market.
Is there anything I can legally do to get them to fix my side of the wall?
They already think I 'told on them' about the wall around the cable meter....I did not.

Computers linked to cameras on squad cars are now being used on a limited basis to scan the license plates of the vehicles passing or being passed by the squad. A computer program then searchs the plate number to see if the vehicle is wanted. This has resulted in the recovery of many stolen vehicles and funding is paid for by auto insurers. The same computer program can be linked to cameras used for crime prevention mounted on street lights etc. Programers are also working on a detection program that will compare a persons facial features for the same reason, identify wanted persons or persons who commit a crime in view of cameras. It will become very very difficult for street criminals to commit crimes and escape. Do you think this is a good idea? Or is it too much of a loss of privacy? Courts already ruled on the street cameras that they were legal.

I am a recent college graduate, I live in Northern New Jersey, and I have not taken the civil service test yet. How do I find a police department that is hiring, I want to apply for a job. I have a BA in sociology and I served an internship with the New Jersey State Police. I am not interested in working for the NYPD which many people have already suggested to me, but thank you.

I am speaking regarding an ex-boyfriend. He had an addiction to porn online, this is why I left him. I had managed to crack his password and got into his yahoo chat and discovered he had a thing for gay webcam activities and chat rooms. On top of that, I also discovered he had been a member of 2 groups that dealt with something even worse. One group was called Voyeur Dads - It is a members only group that was all about men who spy on their teenage daughter(s) and her friends. The other was a really disgusting one called Spunk my Daughter's Face, where men posted pictures of their daughters and the other men posted the pics again after they had ejaculated on them. I never saw pics of his daughter, who is in fact his step-daughter, but he had a large collection of her collected on his computer. I always felt there was something off there and I still do, even 2 years later. I google his screen name sometimes and recently found pics of his now 16 yr. old step-daughter on a website for men.

Could a person call the police information desk 12 times one day, then call the police information desk the next day 12 times without getting into trouble? Keep in mind that each time you call, you are asking real legit questions. And also keep in mind that the same person will be answering each time you call. How many calls can you make before this person answering the phone becomes angry and sends the police out to your house?
