Law Enforcement & Police - June 2006

The thing is...I was at the mall with a bunch of friends. And one of my friends stole something and gave it to some other friend we saw at the mall. I told her not to but....she never listens. So then we're at another store and are called intot he back room of that store where she stole the thing from. And we're like questioned and shown the camera footage. And I was accused too because I'm the one seen in the footage with her cuz I was by her. Of course I didn't wanna rat my friend out so we played innocent (even though i REALLY didn't do ne thing) and they had no real way to prove we had done it. So they let us off, took all our information down and we're not allowed in that store. Now I'm really ticked off cuz I dont want my record to be pulled up in the future by universities and employers and to see that i was involved in shoplifting when I had no part in it. If the police weren't called and they let us go.....will it hurt my record?

I went to the Mothers against drunk driving victim impact panel a year ago after my Wet and Wreckless (lesser DUI charge) and moved away from California for a year. I just moved back to CA and the court said I didnt go and there is a warrant for my arrest. What is the penalty going to be for this? I dont have proof I went and its me against the court. Any one know?

My son has been accused of molesting a minor.He was 18 at the time and the minor was 14.He was questioned by the police a year after the soposed incident.They told him he was guilty because he didn't answer their questions fast enough.He hasn't been formally charged yet but it has been turned over to DHS.He is waiting on them to tell him what they have decided.What can he do to protect himself?The girl has some mental issues and they totally believe her.All he was tring to do was be a friend .Yes, he was alone with her in her room..he had copied a cd for her.Her mother was there.A few days later her dad called and said she had tried to kill herself and she said my son was the cause.She later said that she was afraid her dad was going to get mad at her for something so she lied.The time frame he has been accused of this is not right but he has no way of proving it.How does he go about finding legal counsel??? He cannot afford to hire one and we are unable to help him.

If I am driving and lets say forget to use my turn signal and I get pulled over and I have people in the car and nothing illegal besides my incorrect turn is going on do the cops have the right to ask everyone in the car for id and the such even though they themselves did nothing wrong and dont appear to be drunk high or anything like that. I live in Michigan if it matters

Since so many people think that everyone that the cops look at is guilty tell me why my Dad and my uncle where riding in a car following someone to the store and the person they r followin gets pulled over so they pull over too the cop comes up asks them what they r doing and they explain and the cop in charge tells the other one to give them a ticket too he ask's for what the Sarg comes to the car looks in the back sees about 200 bottles some of which r empty beer bottles and says open intox. When they go to court the papers dont match the ticket is for speeding. why would the cops change the ticket because he knew he couldnt prove they had been drinking and based on the situation thats plain harassment regarless of race. if a cops having a bad day and decides to *** with you what can you when hes friends with the judge and other cops nothing these people really tarnish the good cops. and i hate to say it but i hate cops even though there are good ones which ive met personally i

For instanct If the cops beat your *** I think that if you can prove that they beat you for no reason I think you should be able to whoop the **** out of em with a nightstick or lets say the cops keep pulling you over for no reason I think you should be able to go to their house at 4 in the morning and keep ringing the doorbell and asking them if they have any gray pupan(dont know how to spell it)

The other day my girlfriend and I were minding our own business, taking a nice walk around the neighborhood. Then we heard a rustling in some nearby bushes. I went over to investigate, and discovered a naked guy totally lurking and spying on us! He started to run away, so I whipped out my firearm and shot him. He's ok and everything, but now they've taken me away. They really want to know why I shot the dude? So, like, what should I tell them, considering I want to get out of this joint pronto? why don't we have public executions?
we could have them in the center of cities. and hang the people.
I would also like to see gang members, drug dealers, violent rapes, child molesters get the death penalty.

From illegal searches without warants (LAPD Crash unit is infamous for this)TO SIEZING GUNS DURING HURRICANE KATRINA, to violating their oath to uphold the constitution and demanding that a citizen self incriminate by handing over identification if the officer doesn't like something you did (has actually happened to me for taking a cops photo in a public street, I was eventually cited for jaywalking, I had stepped off the curb and into a parking lot, I had that case dismissed) why do police go along with these unamerican, totally unconstitutional actions?

see there is this guy that had no place to stay i kinda knew him so he asked to stay at my house on my couch i let him.now i heard from my other friends that he is telling his friends that i molested him what do i do? he went missing with a friend of his from school yesterday and he is not in school but his friend is. He is 18. The cops came to my door and yelled at me for letting him stay cuz eventhough his grandma knew he was staying at my house she told cops she never. Stupidly while driving through Hannover i followed a car over a set of lights but as i approached the stop line in traffic the light turned red so i went through because i did not want to risk being hit from behind, does anyone know what penalty i am looking at if i was caught, i never saw a camera or a police car?
