Yes...just give some sort of signal that you know the police are behind you. Turn on your hazards and slow down. Keep driving until you are in a lit area or parking lot. A good officer will know what you are doing.

It depends on the country you live in. If you live in North America, excluding Mexico, you have the right to continue driving so long as you are under the impression that your safety or that of someone within the car is at risk. Additionally if you are being asked to pull over, you have the right to pull over at a location you deem fit (on the shoulder of the road), and can keep your doors closed for as much time as necessary to make a phone call to the closet police station to confirm whether the police car is in fact a real police car on duty.

Absolutely. And once you pull over you do NOT have to get out of the car. You can ask that a female officer be dispatched. Better safe than sorry! If you have a cell phone, you can also call the police to confirm that the person that pulled you over is actually an officer of the law.

Who cares if it's legal, drive to a well lit and well populated place, never take a chance. There is a person in PA that still has not been caught he was posing as a state trooper and pulling women over and attacking them. Go to the PA state police website and check it out. No I would take the charge.

Most police officers have no problem with this. My suggestion would be to decrease your speed and drive to a well lit area. It might also help to have a cell phone with your local law enforcement numbers programed in and just give them a call and let them know what you are doing so there is no confusion

You have the right to safety when being pulled over by a policeman. If you are in a dark or unpopulated area when a police car turns on its lights, you have the right to acknowledge the car's presence (by driving slow with your hazard lights on, for example) and drive to a place where you feel comfortable stopping.

As a black male no not unless you feel like going through getting guns pulled on you, hand cuffed sittin in the back of a cop car for 45 mins while the tips of your fingers turn purple cause the cop put the cuffs on extra tight cause you made him follow you, takin a breathalyzer test, having to argue your case in court, and feeling stupid about the whole situation. They tried to give my brother a evading ticket because he drove about 30 seconds to pull over in a parking lot cause they were on a main road with a 50 mph posting. So I always pull over as soon as I see lights I dont care the cops the one that has to stand in the road anyway.

I would, if I had a cell phone, I would call 911 and let them know what I am doing.

Remember the police officer will suspect you are making a run for it, and when they do stop you, they will treat you like a felony stop, so expect several police cars and guns drawn.
