You have to commit a federal crime!

Commit a federal crime, like against a Post Office, or any federal building, take a weapon over state lines, kidnap somebody and cross state lines, rob a Federal Bank.

I do not advocate any of these crimes. I reveal this as informational only.

I strongly advise against committing a crime. Even in a "cushy" federal prison there is a rank & file of inmates. The ones at the top are one's with money & influence.
The bottom is just go-fers and "girl friends"

Commit a federal crime, like major drug trafficing. Most likely, the FBI will be involved.

My best friend's dad, Lord Gino, who is the former leader of all Latin Kings, is serving a life sentence in federal prison for drug trafficing. I don't know who told you or where you got the idea that federal prison is better than state. MAJOR NEWS FLASH: IT ISN'T!

We've heard it straight from the horses mouth (words, if you want to be literal), that if he could do it all over again, he wouldn't want to be in jail period, but if he did have to serve time again, he's rather do it in state prison over federal any day. He writes and calls my best friend and I on a regular basis, however, we haven't heard from him in over six months. It dosen't surprise us though because it happens all the time. The prison warden could stop everything they do at the drop of a dime, and there won't even have to be a reason, it could be be just because he feels like it. And when I say stop everything, I mean EVERYTHING. From taking showers, to eating, to writing etc.. The cells are smaller than the ones in state prison and you only get an hour a day out of your cell. When you do get your hour, if they let you, you just go into another empty concrete room where you remained shackled. Your free to do whatever you wnat then (sarcasim). As far as gangs and rapes go, its the same situation as in a state prison, they only difference is that the gang you have to watch out for in federal prison are the guards. My best friend's father has been beaten to a pulp on numerous occassions, he's been put into other cells to fight rival gang leaders. What's sad is that he can't complain or report it, because when he tries, they revoke his writing and calling privleges. When his privleges are reinstated it dosen't really matter much because nobody listens to him anyways. He's a convicted federal prisoner doing a life sentence, would you listen or even care.

Commit a federal crime

to get to a federal prison, you have to commit a federal crime or have your case turned over to the feds, which is something that the DA would decide. basically speaking, there is nothing that you can go about going to a state prison unless you commit another crime. in addition, you can still get raped, etc in a federal prison.

just b/c u go to federal does not mean there are no rapes or gangs they are in all of them, and it all depends on what kind of crime you commit, show good behavior in the county and u dont get as severe a punishment or you gotta just learn to squeeze them but cheeks

If you commit a federal crime, and sentenced by a federal court

2006-06-16 09:23:55 · answer #7 · answered by Christopher 4 · 0 0

it has to be a federal crime, tried in federal court.

tax laws, interstate commerence, postal laws, federal drug laws, counterfiting and so on.

Next sorry to break your bubble, while there are a few "country club" level prisons, there are gangs in Federal prison, The "brotherhood" is real strong there for the white inmates and you will find alot of what may be refered to as "mafia" people also.

Many high profile inmates are alleged to still operate thier criminal empires from inside the prision. And most of the "rapes" are not as much rape as they are payment for protection, or a trade for various payments you will need to make inside that world.
