I had a website developed for me which I plan to launch soon. I filed the paperwork to create a (single owner) LLC in my state, and I want the LLC to own the website. What needs to happen to make sure the LLC (and not me personally) officially "owns" the website. Is there an equivilent of a "title" or "deed" to a website which needs to transfer? Also, is it a good idea to obtain a copyright and/ or trademark for the site before I launch? Any lawyers out there to provide ( non-binding, informational-purpose only) advice? :-) Thanks in advance!

I'm a citizen of another country, but a permanent resident (green card holder) of the US. If I'm stopped by border patrol on a greyhound bus, will they accept my driver's license as proof of legal residence?

Can someone post a picture of my child on the internet (say on myspace) without my consent? I thought, but I could be wrong that was illegal. This would be a friend of my ex husbands and I am very upset about this! She doesn't have any right to post pictures of my son, and I do not want her doing so either. My question is, what are my rights as his mother (my son is 3)? Also, my ex and I have joint legal custody, so if he were to say that he gave this person permission, then is that not illegal, even if I do not consent? If I disagree and say no. Do they only need permission from 1 parent and if so what if the other parents disagree's? Please help anyone that may know this answer. It is very important! Thanks so much!

My husband was at a friends house last night and and a guy started to beat his girlfriend. He broke her cheek bone and knocked out a tooth on her. Nobody jumped in to stop it except my husband. He broke the guys nose and I guess hurt him pretty bad. The cops showed up and took the other guy to jail. They shook my husband's hand and said good job. Can the guy press charges on my husband?

I decided to manipulate the reputations of some people who don't treat me well by sending text messages encoded under their names. Now I'm feeling guilty about whether the people who receive the texts especially will be hurt. It was easy to just click the mouse to send it, but should I feel guilty now?

A very good friend of my husband and I gave us some money to fix our air conditioner last year because he had inherited allot of money and he knew we we in a tough spot financially. We started not to hang out as much because he wasn't the same person as he was now with all the money, we then get a text msg asking for his money.... we tell him he said we didn't have to pay it back and that we don't have the money and we were expecting our first child and just filed for bankruptcy ect.. Then every few months he would send the same msg until 6 months ago they started to get worse he started to tell my husband that im a whore and i slept with him and the baby is not his ect i don't need to go into detail. Anyways we tried to ignore them but now he is saying he has pictures (maybe nude or something) of me and he gave them to some friends and he is going to send them to people and again the name calling and stuff like that. For example, i buy a five dollar card (which says no connection fees) to call overseas, on posters and online ads they state that i will get 42 minutes (it doesn't say aprrox.) and when i buy the card, all i get is half an hour, and thats if I use one time. If i were to talk 5 mins each call with the same card, the number of minutes actually given is much lower, 15 minutes.

Lincoln County Commissioners are trying to pass an ordinance that will limit the number of dogs per acre in Lincoln County. The new law will only allow families to have one dog for every .1 acre of land, all because of a complaint a neighbor made about an animal rescue facility located in a patch of farmland near her home. The animal rescue, Tri-County Animal Rescue, is a non-profit organization responsible for saving literally ten thousand dogs' lives in the past ten years due to their commitment to a "no-kill" policy at the facility. If this law is voted in, over half of the 600 dogs at Tri-County will have to be euthanized. Currently, ALL of the dogs located at the facility are spayed or neutered, current on all vaccines, including rabies, and are properly restrained. Some of the dogs living at the shelter are simply there to finish out their years because people will not adopt them due to their old age.

Not only will over half of the animals be euthanized, but taxpayers will have an increase in the amount of taxes they pay to have the euthanasia of all the dogs turned over to animal control performed. The county actually used taxpayers' money to perform this horrible, agonizing event. Here is an eyewitness account from the voice of a Tri-County worker:

“They take the dogs and put as many of them as they can in what they call the 'killer'. It is a chamber made of steel with a glass door that allows the workers to see inside. They literally 'stuff' as many of them into the chamber as they can. It is very crowded and many of the dogs try to reach the door so that they can see out. Now they start screaming and howling. About this time, the door is slammed shut for the last time and the chamber is sealed off. Then the hissing sound starts and the dogs' lungs start burning. They ARE aware of this and IT DOES HURT! The workers have to look through the glass at all of them to make sure that they are all dead. After this, they are placed into the back of a County truck and are hauled to the county landfill with the rest of the garbage.”

We are asking anyone and everyone to please help Tri-County Animal Rescue as well as the hundreds of other dogs that will be have to be “murdered” if this law is passed by Lincoln County Commissioners. Please help us save the lives of these beloved animals! They deserve a second chance and a life as well! The County Commissioners are voting December 17, 2007 – Please help us save the lives of our dogs!!! E-mail or call the Commissioners – even if you live anywhere other than Lincoln County, NC – even out of state! - and tell them NOT TO DO THIS!!! Every voice that speaks out can help!!!
