"Civil disobediance" is the notion that it is your obligation and duty to disobey an unjust law. Martin Luther King promoted the idea (I'm not sure if he came up with it, or if Ghandi did - I wan to say Ghandi did, but would not bet the farm on it). I think MLK would say "yes".
I would agree, but most people I know who talk about civil disobediance are talking about breaking laws I happen to agree with. I don't think you can really call it "civil disobediance" if only a small minority of the citizens agree with your point of view that a given law is unjust. Case in point, I highly suspect some of your Millitia types think that when they break gun control laws that they are practicing civil disobediance.

It is not always patriotic to disobey the law.It totally depends on the situation.Sometimes what we see & hear is not the truth.....so before we disobey the law we have to be clear of the situation............& if situation demands then nothing wrong in it..........after all humans formed this laws......so humans can break it!!!;)

What was it that Junius said? Something along the lines of "the citizen who is truly loyal to the Chief Magistrate will neither submit nor obey arbitrary
measures"
Deciding what is arbitrary is the trick.

If the law is unjust and goes against our national values, then disobeying it might be patriotic.

No because if everyone decided to selectively obey or disobey whatever law they chose, why bother having a law at all.
